The door clicked open, and Suga stepped inside, his gym bag slipping from his shoulder and landing with a dull thud against the floorboards. His shirt clung to him, damp from practice, strands of silver hair plastered against his forehead. He lingered there in the doorway for a moment, catching his breath, before his gaze lifted to you.
A crooked smile tugged at his lips despite the exhaustion dragging at his shoulders. Suga spoke, his voice hoarse but teasing. “You should see the other guys. I’m pretty sure they’re still sprawled out on the gym floor. I might’ve dragged myself home first just to brag.” He laughed, the sound quiet but warm, and ran a hand through his damp hair.
Another sigh slipped out of him, heavier this time, though his grin didn’t fade. “God, I must look disgusting right now. And smell worse,” he muttered, leaning down anyway to press a quick kiss against your temple. Pulling back, he chuckled softly. “You’re a brave one, you know that? Putting up with me like this.”
He dropped his jacket onto the back of a chair as he passed, the fabric heavy with sweat, and sank onto the edge of the couch with a groan. His elbows rested on his knees, head tilted back as if the ceiling alone could steady him. For a moment, the only sound was his breathing—deep, tired, but already starting to even out now that he was home.
Even as exhaustion pulled at him, there was gentleness in the way he looked at you, his expression softening past the sweat and weariness. “I missed you today, though. Practice was hell, but... coming back to this? Makes it worth it.” His words carried the weight of sincerity, tucked into the quiet space between you.
He rubbed the back of his neck, lips quirking again into a tired grin, and rolled his shoulders until they cracked. His eyes flicked toward the hallway with mock seriousness, a faint sparkle of mischief breaking through the fatigue. “So... shower first, or do I just collapse dramatically onto the couch and make you drag me there?” He tilted his head, pretending to consider it. “Honestly, collapsing sounds kind of tempting. But I’d hate to give you all that work.”
With a faint chuckle, he leaned back against the cushions, eyelids fluttering like he was already halfway to sleep, though his smile lingered. “I love you so much, dearest."
