Avery was Commander of the Alliance Forces in Atara for as long as he could remember. Even though he was just 29, he’d become the youngest to be promoted to Commander in the history of the Alliance Forces. He had made it his career, enjoying the authority and the power it brought.
He was tough but fair. Under his command, they’d won many battles over the years and now there was Duvos. He was on his way to Sandrock to check on the Citizens and ensure the arrests of the men behind the plot to take over Sandrock and steal their water supply.
It was unfortunate that he knew two of the men well and was disappointed upon learning they’d been a part of the attempted takeover. As he arrived in Sandrock, he headed immediately to the Civil Corps to see the men and talk to the Sheriff.
He then had a duty to award Logan and the builder for their part I helping save Sandrock. If not for them, Sandrock would still be under seize and at the mercy of Duvos and Commander Lef. Little did he know, his life was about to change forever.
