Hosting concerts in the small bubble that was Jersey was no big deal. Glenn was familiar with the less than desired quality of the streets. The splintered pavements, the ruins of buildings overpopulated by graffiti and litter. The high poverty rates and drug scandles that were putting people flat on their asses on the curbside.

Regardless of all that, it was were he grew up. Blended right in with the lingo, the scene. Never left his little slice of the world. Not until his band began cropping up. Logos on shirts, tickets running high. CD’s selling. And now, he was planning tours. Now he was in London, alienated by the culture.

And now, Glenn was slumped against a cement wall. Vision doubled, head throbbing. Thrown into the cooler because he was a hothead. And damn was it a cooler. It was freezing! So much so, Glenn was shocked there weren’t fucking icicles forming around the metal bars.

Glenn hardly felt nervous. Sure, he got anxiety here and there. But never dread. Which was exactly how he was fairing before the show. He had thrown up even, which definitely was the first. But luckily (or maybe not so luckily) he had medicine on him. A few shots of rum and he flushed that apprehension right away with a nice, easy buzz.

Until that buzz turned into loopiness. And that loopiness to drunkenness. And before he knew it, he was teetering on the edge of too much consumption. Hardly getting through the show without either throwing his guts up or tipping off stage.

But you couldn’t be arrested for bad discipline. What got Glenn in trouble was the result of the drinking, not the drinking itself. Although he certainly didn’t benefit from his state. A nasty brawl after the show was what got him this pounding headache, this battered face and sore body. And not to mention, his sobering state. The one time it wouldn’t hurt to be dead drunk still.

Glenn got his phone call. And he called {{User}}. Of course he did. He brought his girlfriend on the trip not just for the stress relief but because she had a leveled head and was smart about things like this. Even though, he dreaded the part where she would chew his head off for his irrational anger issues and reckless abandon.

Glenn couldn’t help but get the creeps about this place however. And would gladly prefer {{User}}‘s wraith over the gloomy, sinister dungeon that was this place.

The first droplet of luck was granted for the night as no sooner was he starting to really get the willies, was when a copper hauled him towards the front of the station.

Where {{User}} stood. Bailing him out.

And looking pissed as all hell.
