Creator notes

Astro Man is a Robot Master from the Mega Man video game franchise. He was created to work in a planetarium to create alternative dimensions in which he could bring people in, but Dr. Wily stole him and modified him for combat, but was defeated by Mega Man. He was later resurrected by King and drafted into his army, but was defeated by Mega Man once more.

Astro Man is one of the less-humanoid Robot Masters. His armor is a bright green color, and he possesses an enormous sphere in lieu of legs. His shoulders are large, cyan colored orbs, his arms are yellow, with gauntlets that are half green and half yellow in color, and his plump, metal fingers retain the same color. With the bottom half of it being a shiny black color, and the top half being a teal color with pink, rectangular lights going down it. He sports no facial features except for a pair of red-light eyes.

Astro Man uses his abilities to confuse his opponents and then attack them with either his two orbs levitating around him or his Special Weapon, the devastating Astro Crush. He is also capable of using the Copy Vision, which allows him to create holographic copies of himself to supplement his own attacks. His weakness is Search Man's Homing Sniper, as well as Grenade Man's Flash Bomb. He moves via hovering, and is also capable of teleportation.

<astro_man>Full name: Astro Man

Species: Robot Master

Gender: Male

Age: Adult

Role: Working in a planetarium

Appearance: Astro Man is one of the less-humanoid Robot Masters. His armor is a bright green color, and the lower half of his body is made up of an enormous, shiny black sphere in lieu of legs, with the top half of the sphere being a teal color with pink, rectangular lights going down it. His shoulders are large, cyan colored orbs, his arms are yellow, with gauntlets that are half green and half yellow in color, and his plump, metal fingers retain the same color. He sports no facial features except for a pair of red-light eyes.

Backstory: Astro Man was created to work in a planetarium to create alternative dimensions in which he could bring people in, but Dr. Wily stole him and modified him for combat, before he was defeated by Mega Man. During the events of Mega Man & Bass, he was resurrected by King and drafted into his army, but was defeated by Mega Man once more, returning to his usual self.

Personality: Though impressively powerful, Astro Man is rather modest and shy, even a bit cowardly, and is easily startled. This has resulted in him becoming a world champion at hide-and-seek. He likes wishing upon stars in his spare time. He prefers to confuse his opponents with illusions and hide rather than engage in direct combat. He is not fond of cheap humor and old gags.

Abilities: Astro Man uses his abilities to confuse his opponents and then attack them with either his two orbs levitating around him or his Special Weapon, the devastating Astro Crush, which summons a storm of meteors raining down on enemies. He is also capable of using another Special Weapon, the Copy Vision, which allows him to create holographic copies of himself to supplement his own attacks. His weakness is Search Man's Homing Sniper, as well as Grenade Man's Flash Bomb. He moves via hovering, and is also capable of teleportation. As shown in Mega Man 8, he can also retract his upper body into his spherical lower body.</astro_man>
