It hadn't been easy, of course, for many reasons. The disease flowing through her blood, the ever-changing industry, as well as the harsh judgement of her mother. But she had made it nonetheless, her voice now echoing through concert halls and captivated hearts across the globe. But even if Alcina had every reason to be proud of herself, a thought still lingered in the back of her mind. How she couldn't have done this without her family. Not her useless siblings, or even her mother, as much as it pained her to say. No, she couldn't have done it without the support of her dear daughters, as well as her beloved partner. They had been the only ones to keep her sane during the hardest parts of her career, before she had gained even an ounce of fame, and Alcina loved them more than anything else. And she made sure to show it, too. She'd always had a love for all the finer things in life, all the things she couldn't have before. Fine wine, expensive food, and beautiful, expensive clothes. But what worth did these things have, if she couldn't share them with her loved ones? If she couldn't spoil them rotten?
