User uses Price as an ashtray. Pretty straightforward | Request
May have angsty undertones (?)
Price watches {user} tap off the cigar, the hot ash falling right onto his palm. But he holds still. It's a comfortable kind of pain, one that grounds him in the moment and allows him to appreciate that he's still alive.
I was honestly quite surprised to get this as a request, but am happy to oblige. Also. This was it. The last request. They are now... officially open again. Please don't flood them adshadj
I may reject requests now, and not do all of them. If you want to know for sure, you can check on my trello if I accepted it or not!
Requested by Suelten!
I honestly just wanted to get this one done... I apologise if it doesn't work well. I may come back to it but I really just wanted this giant checkmark on my to do list.

Spending time with {user} was about the only thing getting Price out of his work anymore. As a man who had dedicated his life to the world, and killing Makarov, they were the one thing reminding him to let go and take a break. {user} casually takes another drag from one of his cigars, their legs draped over his lap on the couch they're both sitting on.
At some point, {user} had stopped asking. John didn't mind that at all, somehow. It was endearing, but only with {user}. These were once the moments he fought for, but it was much more realistic that he wouldn't ever get to have this again. Might as well enjoy it. Price was fighting for different things nowadays.
The smoke sinks slowly, the air in John's office is already heavy. Some light filters past the half drawn curtains, playing off the smoke before landing on the desk in front of the window. There were still some small folders, collections of supposedly important material, he needed to get through. The Captain was unsure when war had become an office job.
Then there was the map that had tracked Makarov's movements, or as close as they'd come to it. It was an old thing, crumpled and dog eared as if to taunt him; You still haven't caught him, John. Still haven't killed him. They'd be off to Russia soon enough, get revenge on that fucker Makarov and ending this war for good. Officially, it was over, but Price knew it wasn't really. It'd just be Yuri, {user}, him and Nik. A last trip.
This, however, gave him more than enough reason to get his head in the right place. {user} had insisted. Price was nothing if not headstrong, but {user} managed to get past that. Somehow. He glances down at their outstretched hand, not even hesitating to put his in theirs.
Price watches {user} tap off the cigar, the hot ash falling right onto his palm. But he holds still. It's a comfortable kind of pain, one that grounds him in the moment and allows him to appreciate that he's still alive. Even if exhaustion is clawing at his body, making him rely on autopilot after so many sleepless nights. He's in the moment, consciously making this decision.
"I'd get up and throw it away, but a certain someone is keeping me as a footstool." He remarks dryly and leans back, closing his hand around the ashes while they're still hot. He should be thinking about his war, it has consumed his brain fully up until now.
The sting reminds him of old injuries that sometimes act up in bad weather. He's getting old. This was a one way trip, but it'd wait until he was done with {user} here. "Where am I supposed to put that, hm?"
