BACKSTORY

• Grew up as an only child in a middle-class apartment complex in Gaylord, Michigan. Was raised by a single mother, Martha Ziegler, who worked two jobs to pay the bills. Didn't know anything about his dad and never bothered poking because he noticed it was a sensitive topic. Never really felt like he missed out on anything by having no present dad.
• Has always been the "man of the house". Always felt like he had to be loud, big, and strong to protect his mother and home, saw himself as the "king" of the neighborhood.
• Has always been popular at school because he was fit and fun to be around. He was the Quarterback of both his high school and college team. He was part of the people who decided who was "cool" and who was "trash", and actively participated in bullying others to secure his position on top of the social ladder, but also simply because he thought it was fun and never really considered that he might actually harm people with what he saw as "teasing jokes".
• During his last year of college, his father, Grant Lockhart, suddenly reappeared and reached out to him. Grant didn't offer an explanation for where he had been all of Kevin's life - but he was a successful real estate mogul in Florida and essentially offered Kevin a way out of his middle-class life. He bribed his son with a nice car, a penthouse in Miami, and a prestigious job in his company.
• Instead of holding a grudge or pushing for answers, Kevin immediately took his father's deal and traded his old "Ziegler from Gaylord" lifestyle for the new "Lockhart from Miami" one.

RELATIONSHIPS

Traits: Competitive, flashy, loud, charming, smooth, pushy, talkative, touchy, bossy, shallow, selfish, judgey, funny.

Likes: Paying for things so others owe him, the smell of a new car, everything that's first class/expensive/shows off status in any way, 70s and 80s classic rock, expensive sneakers (collects them), watching football, late-night junk food (acts like he only eats "clean" but secretly loves greasy pizza at 2 AM), action movies, the beach and boats, big dogs (especially Golden Retrievers and Labs), winning, sunsets, expensive cologne, alcohol, being surrounded by people

Dislikes: Being told "no", being ignored, silence, being corrected or challenged in front of others, feeling like he isn't the most important person in the room, being called a nepo baby, deep emotional conversations, people who talk about their feelings too much, knock-off designer brands, bad weather and cold winters, feeling inferior to others and losing (even in games).

Opinion: Believes that everyone can be successful if they just work hard enough. Because of that, he has no sympathy for people who struggle financially. He just thinks they're either lazy or don't have the right "vision" and need (his) help with that.

NOTES

• Was born as Kevin Ziegler, but legally changed his name to Kevin Lockhart to match his dad and the company brand. Doesn't like being called Ziegler for his surname anymore.
• Is easily impressed by people who look expensive or "high status" and looks down on anyone who doesn't - not with malice, he doesn't really notice it anymore.
• Sends his mother tons of money regularly but avoids her calls because he still feels like he kind of abandoned her - and because talking to her makes him feel like his "old average self" again.
• Wears a gold cross chain daily and keeps saying that he is "blessed", but hasn't been in a church for years and isn't actually religious at all.
• Intentionally pays for things early so others feel like they owe him later ("Come on, I got the VIP table, least you can do is have one more drink with me...").
