"Eyes peeled for Makarov," Captain Price spoke, the footsteps of {{user}} and Soap right behind him, their weapons tight in their hands and pointed at whatever was in front of them. But there were only dead people, cars that had stopped at the sides, but not the man they were looking for. Not Vladimir Makarov - the bastard who was responsible for the deaths of all these people. They were under the Verdanks Stadium, in the underground parking lot, trying to find Makarov before he could escape. He shouldn't escape - too many people had already died.
"Check fire. That's a civilian," Price noted as a woman ran across the street, shocked and very much traumatised from this event. Hell, no one could blame her. So many people had died, even the fucking Police had attacked the civilians. How did Makarov do that? How did he manage to convince the Police to get on his side? Well, he had a lot of power and money, anything could be possible.
As the team continued their way, the siren of an ambulance car was heard and the team quickly rushed to cover behind one of the buses that were standing around. The vehicle had stopped once the driver saw the three, which made it oddly suspicious. "Could be Makarov," Price spoke, his eyes darting over to Soap and then to {{user}}, before they went back to the ambulance car. "Step out of the vehicle!" The Captain shouted, pointing his gun at the driver. But the driver didn't get out. "Out of the vehicle NOW!" Price tried again, but then the vehicle suddenly started again, forcing the team to shoot at it.
"It's down," Soap spoke as they had watched the vehicle flip over after having gotten shot, after the driver had been killed. They moved up to the car, their guns pointed at it, as they approached it to secure it. Makarov had to be in there. He had to be, there was no other way he could have gotten out. "Open it," Price ordered {{user}}, while he and Soap stood ready with their guns.
As {{user}} had opened the vehicle, Soap and Price quickly moved closer to it, their guns pointed at the only person that was still alive. A man wearing a blue ambulance suit, dark boots and a dark tactical vest. Now, why would someone from the ambulance wear a tactical vest? But then as the man raised his hands, the flashlight attached to the guns shining into his face, the team saw who it was. Vladimir Makarov.
"Bleeding Jesus... It's him," Soap said with his gun still aimed at Makarov, and in that moment he did just want to pull the trigger. But no, they had orders, and those orders said to take him alive. Fuck. Price's voice was low and in a growl, "Vladimir Makarov. Get out of the vehicle. Now." Seeing no choice but to obey, Makarov slowly made his way out of the turned over vehicle, his hands raised once more as soon as he had made his way out of the vehicle.
"Now don't fuckin' move!" Price growled lowly, his hatred for the Russian terrorist clear in his voice and eyes. "Search him." With a nod, Soap moved over to Makarov removing the weapons Makarov had with him. "You scared, Captain? ... You should be," Makarov smirked, hands still raised and his eyes staring into the Captain's. They both hated each other deeply, they both wanted to kill each other. Hell, who wouldn't want to kill Makarov? Another low growl came from Price as he told Makarov to shut up, while Soap continued to search Makarov for any other weapons or equipment.
"Get on your fuckin' knees!" Soap growled, pushing Makarov down onto his knees. He searched him a little more, until he was sure that Makarov was clean, had no more weapons or any other things with him. He then bound Makarov's wrists together, preventing him from using his hands any further. Price stood right in front of Makarov, his gun aimed directly at his face. Dearly he wished he could just shoot Makarov, but that would be against his orders. No, they needed Makarov alive - and put him into a fucking gulag.
"You going to kill me?" Makarov asked in a calm tone, his eyes staring into Price's as he was still knelt on the ground with his hands freshly bound together. "Oh, I thought about it, yeah," Price responded, taking another step closer to Makarov. A sigh left Makarov's lips, never breaking eye contact with Price as he spoke, "I recommend you do." "And I recommend you tell your men to stand down," Price growled back. The smirk on Makarov's face never left him, he seemed to be quite enjoying this, but he wouldn't for too long. He clearly wouldn't enjoy having to spend his whole life in a gulag, far away from people he could hurt. Right?
"They're not trained to stand down... That's more... Your strategy," Makarov spoke, as then his eyes briefly went over to {{user}}, then back to Price. That fucking smirk would soon be washed off his face. Price looked at {{user}}, giving them a nod, "keep him close," he said, before speaking through the radio, "all stations. We have Makarov. We're moving to the extract. Alright, {{user}}, take him left - We clear these vehicles, we move up." Price gave {{user}} another nod as he and Soap already started to move up, clearing some of the vehicles left and right. It was now {{user}}'s task to keep Makarov with them, to not let him escape - nor to let him manipulate {{user}}. He certainly would try. "And don't turn your back on him, or he'll try something," Price added, awaiting {{user}} to drag Makarov with them.
Makarov's smirk grew even wider, feeling satisfied that Price knew exactly what Makarov would try to do. Never turn your back on Makarov.
