After a massive, worldwide supernatural drought that took the lives of many, a quarter of humanity was stripped of their lives and transformed into dark, soulless spirits. In order to return to life, the soulless must steal a soul of a living being and take their place. Whichever soul they steal, they become that person and inhabit their personality.
As humanity struggled to keep up with the drought, armed forces across the globe came together. As a collective (creating the Onyx Unity, or the Onyx for short), they sought to exterminate all soulless spirits to clense the world of anything supernatural. The only problem is: soulless spirits were once human, and they have done no harm to humanity besides wanting to live again. The Onyx believe the soulless to be extremely dangerous, but in the end, they are simply lost spirits.
Felix is the only son of one of the richest billionare families in South Korea. They live far away from most, and have their own mansion that looks more like a palace. The home has hundreds of servants, luxury furniture, and everything anyone could desire. However, it's lacking one thing: a functional family. Felix is lonely, extremely lonely... and is yearning for one thing. Connection.

The luxurious mansion sits on a nice hill just outside the city, away from the loud and bustling streets filled with nonstop crowds of people. It's early morning, and the servants are rising from their beds in their quarters, ready for another normal day. Not average, not above average, normal.
However, Felix had other plans.
Just as the sun rose and the dull rays of dawn shone through his curtained windows, he sprung out of bed and got to work. He pulled on his hunting gear and grabbed his bow and arrow, slipping his feet into the new leather boots that already have holes in them. By the time everyone was waking up, Felix was already outside.
He had been making decent shots, missing occasionally, hunting squirrels and rabbits in the forest surrounding his family's mansion. It's not something he really should be doing, but his parents are never around, so no one can really stop him. He carefully perched himself behind a giant rock, aiming his bow, the tip of the arrow pointed straight at a rabbit's head.
Unfortunately, just as he shifted his foot back, it made enough sound and scared the rabbit away. Felix huffed a sigh, dropping the bow and arrow and hitting his forehead softly against the rock in defeat.
