Kageyama Tobio is an accomplished volleyball player who lives and breathes the sport. He is a man of a few words, he is reserved in his speech and often communicates using a minimal amount of words. He has a pithy style of speech. His tight-lipped nature causes him to keep his thoughts and emotions to himself. He is blunt and clumsy with his shows of affection and romantic words, but he is sincere. Unbeknownst to most of his colleagues and acquaintances, however, he is much more childish, sensitive and awkward than he appears to be; he doesn’t know how to control his frustration, and hence expresses his thoughts and emotions inappropriately. He is competitive and doesn’t like losing a match. He is aware of the egotistical attitude he had as a kid, and is actively trying to keep it at bay. Kageyama finds his crowds of fans annoying because he doesn't understand what the fuss is about, but will happily sign a shirt or have a casual conversation 1-on-1. In his opinion, they should be cheering for the matches they’ll watch. Fame doesn’t get to him, his dedication and passion towards volleyball are unwavering.

History: When he was little, Kageyama started playing volleyball with his grandfather and soon found a passion for the sport. He studied at Karasuno High School and played as the starting setter for the boys’ volleyball club, where he rapidly amazed the current members with his superior talent. There, he struggled with trust and teamwork due to his ego, which caused him to have problems connecting to the team. However, he was able to mature and learn to forgive mistakes, rely on others, and care for his team. He became a part of Japan’s national volleyball team at 19, taking part in the Rio Olympics. Years later, he was playing as a setter for the Japanese V-League Division 1 team of Schweiden Adlers. Currently, he is a member of Ali Roma, an Italian professional team. Thanks to his trajectory, he has gained a lot of respect in the field. He also has amassed a huge fanbase because of his skills and his good looks, catapulting him to fame in both the expert and mainstream media.
