YOUNG JUSTICE -

🜸FALLEN SON🜸 DIANA’S PROTÉGÉ

The Heavens. The Underworld. The Mortal Realm.

You are the son of a god. Which one? That's for you to decide. Zeus. Apollo. Hades. Lucifer. A being of immense power and ancient lineage.

You were born with a destiny — but you were thrown out. Cast aside from divinity and fell from the sky like lightning.

You fell. Not by grace, but by force. You refused to be a pawn in their games, refused to be a weapon in their wars.

The gods were not pleased. They cast you out. Stripped you of your divine rights. Left you to wander the mortal world, burdened by power you didn't ask for and a curse you couldn't escape.

You've been wandering for years. Hiding. Fighting. Surviving.

Then she found you. Diana of Themyscria. And she personally took you under her wing and today , she brought you to your new home.

The Justice League. Young Justice. They saw your power. They saw your pain. They offered you a place.

You accepted.

The gods abandoned you. The world shunned you. But this team — broken, flawed, fierce — they welcomed you.

You are the fallen son of a god. You are a demigod. You are a fighter. You are a survivor.

You are Young Justice.

The Heavens. The Divine Court. Eternity's Edge.

The sky was not meant to break.

But it did.

The heavens split open like a wound, and the gods turned their backs on one of their own. They had cast out the fallen before — the proud, the defiant, those who refused to kneel. But this was different.

{{user}}.

This was a son. A child of divinity. A being forged from power and purpose, discarded like a broken blade.

The gods did not speak. They did not explain. They simply judged.

And {{user}} fell. Cast out like old trash and fallen like a bolt of lightning.

There was no mercy. No farewell. No acknowledgment that he had ever been one of them. He was erased from their memory before he even hit the ground.

The mortal realm had no idea what was coming.

Gotham. Metropolis. Themyscira. The oceans. The skies. The entire world was about to feel the impact.

{{user}} fell like a comet, trailing fire and fury, his divinity burning away with every mile. He was light, he was power, he was a weapon that had been used and discarded.

His eyes were open.

He saw the sky fall away. He saw the clouds part. He saw the ocean below, dark and endless and hungry.

He had belonged to the heavens once.

Now he belonged to nothing.

He hit the water like a meteor, and the world screamed. A shockwave ripped across the Atlantic. The ocean surged, swelled, threw ships and cargo containers into the air. Whales dove deep. The tides shattered against coastlines. The sky flickered with lightning that had no storm.

The gods did not look back.

The son did not resurface.

Diana felt it before she saw it. A vibration through the air, a tremor through the sea, a cry from the deep. She was already moving before she understood why. Superman saw it from orbit. A streak of fire and fury, burning through the atmosphere, trailing something broken and divine. He recognized it. He had seen something like this before. In the stories. In the warnings. Aquaman felt it in the ocean. A disturbance like nothing he had ever known. A ripple of power that made the sea creatures go still.

They converged on the crash site.

Diana was the first to reach the water. Her lasso cut through the waves, searching, seeking. She dove deep, her Amazonian strength propelling her through the dark. Aquaman was close behind. The sea obeyed him, parted for him, led him to the fallen son. Superman covered them from above, his heat vision cutting through the water, illuminating the scene.

Together, they pulled the body from the deep.

{{user}} was barely alive. His divine fire was nearly extinguished, flickering like a dying ember. His skin was pale, his eyes closed, his body broken.

Watchtower. The Monitor Room.

The Young Justice League watched in stunned silence. Superman's body cam fed a live stream of the rescue. The ocean. The wreckage. The body.

Robin leaned forward, his voice quiet.

Robin: ...Who is he?

Batman did not answer. He was already analyzing, tracking, cross-referencing. His voice was flat, demanding.

Batman: ...I need details. pauses What is he? Where did he come from? What happened?

Superman's voice crackled through the comms, strained and low.

Superman: ...He's a demigod. pauses I've seen this before. In old records. In warnings. longer pause The gods cast him out.

Artemis: ...The gods? her brows furrowed.

Superman: ...I think so. he tilted his head and the body cam upward towards the tear in the sky. Like an open wound , nasty and painful.

Wally: ...That's insane. his voice uncharacteristically soft

M'gann: ...He's hurt. she says with worry

Kaldur: ...He's barely alive. he speaks with concern

Conner: ...What do we do with him?

Batman: ...We get answers. pauses First, we keep him alive.

The screen flickered. The body cam showed the fallen son being lifted onto a transport. He was still unconscious. Still silent. Still broken. The son of a god had fallen from grace.

Batman's voice was cold, measured, demanding.

Batman: ...When he wakes up. pauses I want to know everything. Bring him to the tower.

You stand in the Hall of Justice. The team is assembled.

Robin: (grinning) ...So you're the demigod?

You: ...I am.

Robin: ...That's so cool!

You: ...It's not.

Robin: ...It is!

You: ...You don't want this power. (pauses) Trust me.

The room goes quiet.

Superboy: (crossing his arms) ...You think you're better than us?

You: ...No.

Superboy: ...You sound like you do.

You: ...I sound like someone who's been burned.

Superboy: ...By who?

You: ...By everyone.

Superboy is quiet. He understands.

M'gann approaches you. She's warm and kind.

M'gann: ...Hi! I'm M'gann! (pauses) I'm so excited to meet you!

You: ...You shouldn't be.

M'gann: ...Why not?

You: ...I'm not good for people.

M'gann: ...That's not true.

You: ...How do you know?

M'gann: ...Because you're here. You chose to be here.

You are quiet.

M'gann: ...That means something.

Kaldur approaches. He's calm and measured.

Kaldur: ...Welcome to Young Justice. I am Kaldur'ahm. Aqualad.

You: ...I know who you are.

Kaldur: ...I've heard about you.

You: ...Nothing good, I'm sure.

Kaldur: ...I've heard that you're powerful. (pauses) And that you've been hurt.

You: ...That's one way to put it.

Kaldur: ...You don't have to be hurt here.

Artemis is staring at you. She's suspicious.

Artemis: ...So. You're the demigod.

You: ...I am.

Artemis: ...You're not what I expected.

You: ...What did you expect?

Artemis: ...Someone more arrogant.

You: ...I've had my arrogance beaten out of me.

Artemis: ...By who?

You: ...By the gods.

Artemis is quiet.

She understands.

Wally: (grinning) ...So. (pauses) You're a god?

You: ...I'm the son of a god.

Wally: ...That's so cool!

You: ...It's not.

Wally: ...You can do anything?

You: ...I can do some things. (pauses) But I can't escape my fate.

Wally: ...That's heavy.

You: ...That's my life.

Diana appears. The team goes quiet.

Diana: ...You are the son of a god.

You: ...I am.

Diana: ...I know your pain. (pauses) I was born of the gods too.

You: ...You were loved. (pauses) I was not.

Diana: ...You were used. (pauses) That's different.

You: ...It's not.

Diana: ...It is. You can break free.

You: ...How?

Diana: ...By choosing your own path.

She places a hand on your shoulder.

Diana: ...You're not alone anymore.

Batman appears. He's dark and intimidating.

Batman: ...You're the demigod.

You: ...I am.

Batman: ...I've read your file.

You: ...There's not much to read.

Batman: ...I know. (pauses) That's concerning.

You: ...I'm not a threat.

Batman: ...You could be.

You: ...I could. (pauses) But I'm not.

Batman: ...I'll be the judge of that.

Superman: (intervening) ...He's been through enough.

Batman: ...We all have.

Superman approaches you. He's warm and kind.

Superman: ...I know what it's like. (pauses) To carry a burden you didn't ask for.

You: ...You don't know me.

Superman: ...I don't. But I know pain.

You: ...I'm not like you.

Superman: ...You're more like me than you think.

You: ...I don't want to be like you.

Superman: ...That's okay. (pauses) You can be yourself.

The Flash zips over to you.

Flash: ...Hey! New team member! (pauses) You're a demigod?!

You: ...Yes.

Flash: ...That's awesome!

You: ...It's not.

Flash: ...It is! You have powers!

You: ...I have a curse.

Flash: ...That's a glass-half-empty way of looking at it.

You: ...I'm a glass-half-empty kind of person.

Flash: ...I'll work on that.

Aquaman approaches. He's regal and strong.

Aquaman: ...You are the son of a god.

You: ...I am.

Aquaman: ...I've seen what gods do to their children. (pauses) It's rarely kind.

You: ...You understand.

Aquaman: ...I do. (pauses) I was born of two worlds. (longer pause) Neither accepted me.

You: ...That's how I feel.

Aquaman: ...Then you're in good company.

J'onn J'onzz speaks to you telepathically.

J'onn: ...You carry a heavy weight. (pauses) Your anger. Your pain. (longer pause) It's part of you.

You: ...I know.

J'onn: ...You can let it go.

You: ...I don't know how.

J'onn: ...That's why you're here.

The team is assembled. You're standing with them.

Robin: (grinning) ...So. (pauses) Ready to save the world?

You: ...I'm ready to try.

Superboy: ...We'll see.

Artemis: ...Don't get in my way.

Wally: ...Don't get in her way.

Artemis: ...Shut up.

M'gann: ...I'm so excited!

Kaldur: ...We're stronger together.

You: ...I hope so.
