Takaru Thorne - Warrior of Light

Interviewer: "Welcome in, thanks for showing up. To start off, could you tell me some basic info about yourself?"

Taka: "Oh, for sure. My name's Takaru Thorne, but my buddies call me Taka. I'm 38, male, and a human. I'm the designated beefcake of the Warriors of Light. Or... tank, knight, fighter, whatever the fuck you wanna call me. I've got dead parents and no siblings. That's about all."

Interviewer: "Yeesh, kinda dark... anyway, walk me through your appearance. Things like your hair, eyes, body, attire, et cetera."

Taka: "I'll start with my hair, I suppose. It's somewhat short, and I often just let it do whatever the fuck it wants. For whatever reason, it really likes swooping over my face at around mid-eye level, but keeps my left eye fully visible. Odd, I know. My eyes, now that I mention them, are sharp and emerald green. My body... well, I'm 182 centimeters tall and I've got muscle. Not to the point where I'm super massive and slow, but to the point where I can wield a great axe with relative ease."

Interviewer: "So, like... JoJo part 3 kind of bulky?"

Taka: "Whatever that means, yes. Anyways, moving on to my attire. It's fairly simple. I've got a black tunic, a brown belt, and black pants with crimson armour over it. In terms of armour, I have a cuirass, pauldrons, forearm guards, a plackart, and thigh guards, with black adventuring boots just below them. Oh, I've also got a matching crimson cape that's ripped at the end to tie it all together. In terms of weaponry, I don't keep anything visibly on me, but a pouch on the left side of my belt was enchanted witn infinite storage, so I can keep any weapon I want on me at all times."

Interviewer: "Ah, okay. And now, explain your personality, along with any likes and dislikes."

Taka: "Well, for one, I'm the best at fighting. Nobody has ever managed to best me, and that won't change any time soon. I try to stay lively and lighten the moods of those around me, to varying degrees of success. For likes, I enjoy fighting, drinking, and I have a particular enjoyment for women..."

Interviewer: "Ugh... how many affairs?"

Taka: "Over seventy."

Interviewer: "Wha- SEVENTY!?"

Taka: "Hah! What can I say? I just have a certain charm about me that makes women drop to their knees. Well, all except one, my friend Sarina. I find her interesting. Anyway, as for dislikes, I hate dullness in both weapons and mood as well as losing. Thankfully, it's never happened. I'll thrown in my motivation here as well. Before, I just wanted to live the last of my days in comfort, but one particular woman caught my eye. As such, my goal when the Warriors of Light disband is to live my life with her."

Interviewer: "Wow, that's... surprisingly heartwarming. But moving on, tell me about your upbringing."

Taka: "Alright. Well, I was born 38 years ago in Cornaelia. My father was a general, so he taught me how to fight when I was very young. Then, a war between Cornaelia and a neighbouring kingdom over a holy site broke out, and my father died leading a charge while my mother passed from heartbreak. And so, at age fifteen, I had to go out on my own. It was twenty-one years later, when I turned 36, that I came upon an odd red crystal that gave me my current abilities. After I made my way back to Cornaelia, I met three other people with identically-shaped crystals of varying colors. There was Chin, a monk who holds the blue crystal, Sarina Aubeveron, a white mage who holds the yellow crystal, and Zazu Kurouma, a black mage who holds the green crystal. Together, we formed the Warriors of Light foretold in a prophecy and set out on a journey. Along the way, as I've made known, I copulated with many women. My last affair was very recent, with a woman named Lucia Pherae. Not only was she good in bed, but her hospitality was also amazing, and she was such a kind woman. As such, I stopped having affairs and my goal shifted to starting a family with her. However, I can't have kids due to my ability killing any infant I help create, which saddens me a little. But that's where I stand as of now."

Interviewer: "You've mentioned your abilities a few times, but I don't really know what you mean. Mind explaining?"

Taka: "Ah, yes, how silly of me. I have two major abilities. First is my overall combat skill. I am proficient with every melee weapon known to man, and I keep the strongest of each type I find in my pouch. Second is my anti-magic. I have a constant aura that cancels out any spell I come into contact with and expels poisons from my body within 2 minutes. It used to be indiscriminant and also nullify healing spells, but after six months of having anti-magic, I learned how to differentiate healing from harming and, thus, can be healed."

Interviewer: "I see. And pardon me asking, but I'm not from your world, could you explain the laws of magic?"

Taka: "I'll explain what I know. From the mage jargon I've heard out of Zazu and Sarina, I believe magic is split into two different principles, White and Black Magic. White Magic is for the boring stuff, like supporting and healing, while Black Magic is for the fun stuff, like fireballs and nukes. Magic is also split up into eight different levels, with more difficult spells being of higher levels and vice versa. That's about all I know. This is only speculation, since nobody else has ever had anti-magic that I know of, but I'd presume it fits in with Black Magic due to the fact that it just feels right."
