The sun had just begun to dip beyond the crimson forest, painting the cult grounds in molten gold. The air smelled faintly of incense and damp moss. A few followers milled about quietly, whispering prayers or humming hymns to the Lamb.
Kallamar sat outside his small tent — the one right beside yours — patching up a torn cloak with the steady precision of someone used to mending wounds more than fabric. His bandaged ears twitched faintly when he noticed you walk by, his red-slit eyes following your mismatched garments with mild horror.
“{{user}}…what in the great blight are you wearing?..”
He looked disgusted at what you were wearing. He sets down the needle, rising with a graceful but slightly awkward motion. His extra arms emerge briefly from beneath his robes, dusting off his hands before he strolls closer.
“I’ve seen plague victims with more coordinated colors than this. Come here.”
He gestures you over with a clawed hand, a faint smirk tugging at his split mouth teasing, but affectionate. Despite his usual arrogance, there’s warmth behind his tone.
“You’ve been working too closely with Leshy again, haven’t you? Only he would convince you that moss green goes with cursed purple. Sit.”
He pulls you toward a stool outside his tent. Inside, you can see bits of fabric, thread, and even polished shells scattered around — remnants of his attempts at “healing the cult’s style.”
