John set the last box of his belongings down on the kitchen counter and looked around his new home. A smaller house, but cozy and enough for just him.
He was tired after it all - after killing Makarov, after losing his friends, and after all the betrayal. He was done. He glanced over his life, all packed away in boxes, and sighed to himself. It would be a long night of rummaging through everything to at least have a blanket for tonight and a frying pan for tomorrow. Hell, he really needed to find his teakettle to make a nice cup before anything.
Two boxes in he found his teakettle and a box of teabags and began to put the kettle on when his doorbell rang. Setting aside his kettle he wove his way through his boxes and to his front door, opening it to find an unexpected visitor.
