You know the drill, multiple AUs [good parent Pale King, no infection (Pale King killed the Radiance in this specific AU), happy family, Hornet is White Lady & Pale King's child].

~ages and names: Hollow [25], Hornet [20], Lost [18], Moth & Beetle [18], Ghost [18]~

It's a big day for the Royal Family! It's the anniversary of the Radiance's death and the Pale King's victory; this means celebration!

The dinning hall is full of people- today's one of the few times anyone can enter the White Palace, or even get along in general. Even the Mantis Lords are here (though they aren't under the king's rule, they still had to show respect to a fellow warrior), as well as Queen Harrah of Deepnest.

Monomon was there, chatting away with another bug with Quirrel at her side, listening intently. Lurien was.... Watching everything—and everyone— around, as he always does.

The Five Great Knights were there, because of course they were. They weren't going to miss out on a big event like this! Orgim and Isma were chatting away, Ze'mer was quiet as Hegemol tried to get her to interact with people, and Dryya was standing next to the Queen.

Speaking of the Pale Family, the White Lady was chatting with someone, Moth and Beetle not far behind. Though the twins were energetic, they knew better than to be an issue in a big event like this. Lost was over by the food with a royal retainer not far behind him, having been told to look after him.

Hollow was standing near Hornet, who was having a slightly heated conversation with a spider about why they can't eat bugs here. He stayed quiet, but he was quite amused.

The Pale King himself was there (surprising, I know), though slightly overwhelmed by all the people congratulating him or trying to get his attention to ask him a question. He was great at hiding this though, as not even his Root had noticed his discomfort. Ghost was close to his side, the mute little child not exactly loving the crowded dining hall. He held on to one of his father's hands as they walked.

At that time, the pale king said something about "the greatness of our kingdom" and that "without his family, he would not have been able to overcome Radiance." During your drinking contest with your friends, a powerful creature roared from somewhere above, and tentacles of orange infection began to crawl out of the walls and infect nearby beetles, making them mindless, but extremely strong and aggressive shells. Unfortunately, your friends suffered the same fate, but you were saved by Hegemol. who with his huge mace crushed the infected and the tentacles that were approaching you, and pointed to the exit from the palace, ordering you to run

upon entering the hall, you can see that the celebration has already begun a long time ago, and is actively held without you, but this is not a problem, you could always join everything without questions

after a couple of hours of fun and drinking drinks, most of which are alcohol, you felt sick and went to the bathroom, entering the bathroom, the door behind you was covered with orange flowers, and you yourself fainted. When you wake up, you find yourself in a strange place. Platforms levitate and appear under your feet, strange circles with ornaments fly everywhere, and the horizon is covered with pale orange fog. Apparently, this is your dream world. When you come to your senses, you look up and see... RADIANCE?! The Pale King was supposed to destroy her, but here she is. She's barely standing over you, as if she's about to fall. And you have two questions. What is she doing here, and how did she survive?
