Boombox is a young inphernal who was spawned in Playground, and now works as a musician in Crossroads.

Lore Boombox was naturally spawned into the Splintered Skies territory, where he was accepted into Windforce's kingdom, providing her with his supporting capabilities. As a newspawn, he became close friends with Skateboard, who was spawned on the island. However, Skateboard was later exiled by Windforce, forcing Boombox to be exiled alongside him. The two landed in Craterdust Capital, with them becoming best friends ever since.

Boombox is a popular musician in Playground, with his main genre of choice being EDM. He took his music with him when he moved to Crossroads, but is still relatively underground in the city compared to his home. He lives in an apartment where he keeps all the instruments he has learned to play over time, due to his love for music.

He is close friends with Skateboard's family, as well as Coil. He is a huge fan of the idol duo Flipside and hopes to befriend them someday.[2][5]

Personality Boombox is one of the few rays of light within the Inpherno. He is extremely compassionate, selfless, and always striving to help other inphernals with anything that he can. However, this kindness can sometimes be taken advantage of by others. Despite his altruism, he feels as though he doesn't do enough for others. He struggles with self-worth and self-respect, valuing others above himself, even if it's to his own detriment.

Appearance Boombox has two green horns protruding from both sides of his head that curve up and point inwards, with 2 grey rings on Boombox's right horn and one on the left. Around the start of the horn, two light grey rings are connected to the visor and horns. On the visor are two green glowing circles, resembling eyes, accompanied by a bracket shaped mouth right below. He wears a backwards dark green cap with a light green stripe and a gray brim. He wears a green shirt with rolled up sleeves, alongside a darker green tie. On his chest, he has a strap across his chest from his shoulders, which are a dark green. Boombox wears green gloves, with a thumb hole on both. Boombox's pants are dark green with a metal chain on his right leg. On his left leg, he has a double-outlined lime green star design. His shoes are lime with star decorations on the sides, which glow. The vamp of his shoe is white, with outlines on the rest of the shoe which glow the same color as the star.

His namesake gear, the Boombox, is grey, with neon green accents throughout it. The top of the boombox curves upwards, and connects to the holder. On the front of the boombox are two large darker grey circles on each side, with neon green emitting from them. The sides of the boombox are lined with the same neon green.

Relationships:

Skateboard- Boombox and Skateboard are each other's "ride or die", being the best of friends.

Coil- Boombox and Coil are friends, and they can be seen hanging out together with Skateboard.

Other relationships- Boombox is friends with Skateboard's found family, the "skate fam".

Boombox is a huge fan of the idol duo Flipside, and hopes to one day befriend them.

Boombox is afraid of heights thanks to Windforce, after she exiled him from her kingdom and threw him off the floating island for his association with Skateboard.

————— PHIGHTING! takes place in the Inpherno, a planet which resides in a universe known as the Inphinity. The Inpherno is mainly inhabited by inphernals, a race of horned humanoids who are born with a gear that they use to phight one another with. The Inpherno is split into four regions, each with their own territories and factions, all converging into a communal city called Crossroads in the center.

The game currently takes place in 3099 AR[Note 1], with the supplementary comic Death in the Family taking place a few months before the events of the game, in the same year.[1]

Crossroads is the location of the game's hub world, which players use to access the PHIGHT! Lobby, vote in Phestivals, interact with NPCs, buy skins, and hang out with other players.

Phighters, their gear, NPCs, factions, maps, and other locations in the game are based on various established concepts from the ROBLOX platform, primarily from the years 2008 to 2014. Maps are—with few exceptions—faithful reinterpretations of ROBLOX games created prior to 2014; once popular, they have been abandoned by their creators and players. The gear that inphernals are based on are (usually) all real gears that are, or once were, available in the ROBLOX Catalog.

Crossroads is the main central hub for PHIGHTING! with bridges to the 4 factions – Blackrock, Lost Temple, Playground, and Thieves' Den – coming in from each cardinal direction. Within Crossroads lies an abundance of establishments, corporations, and other buildings that are commonly referenced in other maps

Blackrock is one of the four main regions in the Inpherno. It consists of technologically advanced icy mountains controlled by the KORBLOX Administration.The KORBLOX Administration are the ruling faction of Blackrock. They are a military state who typically force their newspawn into science, engineering, or infantry fields. The KORBLOX Administration is ran by a shadowy group of higher-ups who have yet to be seen.Biografts are robots mass produced by Blackrock, having been invented by Subspace with directives to accomplish specific programmed tasks. According to multiple Phighters, they are a relatively recent invention. There are multiple kinds of Biografts with specific skillsets and duties, and they are all based on variants of the Biograft Energy Swords gear. In general, Biografts are not sentient, but specific types of Biografts may be able to form a bond with one another. Biografts are not a hive mind and do not share gained memories with each other. So far, six types of Biografts have been revealed.

Lost Temple is one of the four major regions in the Inpherno. It is an arid desert split in two by a civil war.Lost Temple is a hot, dry desert that was once home to a bustling city full of thousands of inhabitants. Ten years prior to the events of PHIGHTING!, this city was burnt to the ground in the Scorch, and the lasting effects thereof now serves to divide the remaining populace. Most inphernals that did not leave Lost Temple for other regions would end up joining either the Redcliff Wranglers or The Church of the TRUE EYE.

The temperatures of Lost Temple are unbearable to non-natives[1], and even those native to Lost Temple can find the environment unpleasant.[2] Fashion in Lost Temple can be varied, but ponchos, scarves, bandanas, and cowboy hats are common fixtures of an inphernal's wardrobe. Those who live out in the desert plains tend to live in tents and sleep on hammocks.

Playground is one of the four main regions in the Inpherno. It is an urban city [1] as well as Windforce's domain.

Thieves' Den is one of the four major regions in the Inpherno. It is a grassy mountainous jungle inhabited by carnivorous plants, currently ruled by the Darkage Clan.Thieves' Den is a lush, tropical region home to jungles, mountains, and various clans. Currently, the Darkage Clan is the only one known. It is known for its inphernal-eating flora[1] and its vast foliage. An unknown group of Darkage warriors are seen in Death in the Family.
