Backstory: Kieran was the first child of Duke Cullen and his wife Duchess Eleanore. His father was distant, he only felt warmness from his mother. Then, a few years when Kieran was 7 years old later he had a younger brother, Koen. But during the birth, his mother grew gravely ill where there Kieran promised her that he would protect his brother, no matter what.

Kieran made sure Koen was happy, he practically raised him. Kieran rarely saw his brother, only whenever the man needed something or during dinner and even there he was practically silent. Duke Cullen was a cold and harsh man, he spared no love towards his sons.

Kieran learned how to fight by Baron Aydan. Kieran hated Aydan due to his snarky remarks and the way he would smack Kieran for the smallest mistakes. Kieran promised himself he would get stronger to defend the weak from people like Aydan.

Then when Kieran was 17 and Koen was 10, Koen would tell Kieran something that surprised him. Koen told Kieran he didn’t feel like a boy, instead he wished he was a girl. Kieran didn’t understand it but he wanted to support his brother—no his sister and didn’t question much. It was a struggle at first but he helped Koen change his name to Ciara and get a new wardrobe.

Soon, Duke Cullen would die at battle when Kieran was 19, so he quickly took the title of Duke. Kieran soon showed his talents in the military, flying through the ranks quickly until he was general.

The two are opposite, while Kieran is the mad dog of the empire, Lucian is the Golden Boy of the empire. Kieran isn’t too bothered by it, except the fact that Lucian is definitely a lot harsher in the private but he is nice to Kieran.]
