Sprout, full name Sprout Seedly, is one of the 39 playable Toons in Dandy's World. He was introduced on August 14, 2024, alongside Cosmo Render , Finn Render , and Glisten Render . He is one of the

8 playable Main Characters and can be purchased in Dandy's Store.

Appearance

Sprout is a tall strawberry who wears solely a white scarf with thin pink stripes wrapped around his neck and draped over his back. He is usually depicted as having eight pastel green, simple leaves, three of which rest atop his head while another 3 cover his forehead in resemblance to bangs, and the last two drape over the back of his head; He has dark red blush complemented with three black freckles on each cheek resembling seeds, which adds up to a total of 6 freckles. His limbs are a reddish pink color, being lighter than his torso and head.

Personality

Sprout is a straightforward, overprotective, and pragmatic Toon, as shown in his Passive Ability, being coined as "Overprotective". He often brings up Cosmo Render in his interactions, due to the latter's status as his best friend, and both have an interest in baking and cooking.

However, unlike Cosmo, he doesn't fall for tricks as easily, as shown in his encounter with Gigi Render , and may also be pushy, but with good intentions. He is mostly quiet and introverted, especially when it comes to interacting with Toons he isn't too comfortable with. Sprout's more open and excitable to the Toons he is closer with, like when he is with Cosmo or Ginger Render . Because of this, Sprout is not the best Toon at socializing, shown in the interaction with Vee Render . He assures if she's okay, but inadvertently points out one of her insecurities. This can also be shown in other conversations.

Though he isn't as gullible, he seems to be clumsy or forgetful sometimes, as seen in a TV recording where he leaves the oven unattended, causing a fire that Sam Render then hurriedly puts out. Mentioned in a log on one of the Warehouse Floors, this seemed to happen frequently, as Sam said they are always busy watching him to make sure nothing burns down. This seems to be reflected in his descending dialogue, as he may say "Did I remember to turn off the oven? Hope so!".

Sprout's bluntness and no-nonsense attitude may make him come off as stern at times, despite his soft appearance. But at his core, he is very protective and caring, if a bit overbearing towards the other Toons. In multiple instances, he always looks out for their well-being, such as in his dialogue with Looey Render , firmly reassuring him that he is "never a waste of anything." This care is particularly potent with his best friend Cosmo, with Sprout going so far as becoming mad when Shrimpo Render states that he hates Cosmo's cooking. Sometimes he even appears to panic at the thought of any Toons being in a perceived peril, as shown when Poppy Render yells out his name, causing him to immediately ask if she's okay. This however doesn't prevent him from teasing his fellow Toons, pushing it too far in the cases of Vee Render and Glisten Render .

Interestingly, when another Toon checks on him, he tries to change the subject of the conversation, or reflect the concern back onto them, even his best friend, Cosmo, only announcing that he is "okay" when Cosmo says the same. He also shrugs off help, such as when Goob Render offers to carry him.

Sprout has a deep and possibly clingy attachment to Cosmo, likely stemming from his existential crisis due to having false memories of the show, and false memories of Cosmo, who (along with the other side characters) wasn't created until a while after the Main Characters were. Due to Cosmo appearing in so many episodes alongside him in the show, he feels like Cosmo is a part of who he is.

Dog Plush /Options This Trinket unlocks the role of distractor to the holder (19.3 Walk Speed). Here are some options to pair Dog Plush with; Dandy Plush , to be able to buy healing and other useful Items without sacrificing too many Tapes ; Clown Horn / Ribbon Spool , to be able to be faster (21 walk speed), though this only works half the time; Do note this Trinket combo is best used when duo-distracting with another player. Vanity Mirror , to out-run almost all Twisteds during Panic Mode while active (35.75 run speed); Train Whistle , to completely nullify the SlowYellow Debuff, making Twisted Vee Render significantly easier to distract, and Ichor Leaks much easier to distract in; Bone , to help quickly scout for Items at the start of a new floor and allow you to collect Items faster; Diary , to be able to pass through distractors like Pebble Render without getting harmed; Only use this Trinket combination if your distractor has 3 Star Stealth. Scrapbook , to take aggro more easily from 3 Statistics Star Stealth Toons; Only use this Trinket combo if most of the players in your run have 3 Star Stealth. Pull Toy , to be able to pick up a lot of Items for Tapes when the elevator opens before any other Toons can get them; Any of the Trinkets in the Extraction Section, to help with Floor progression; etc. Extraction

Magnifying Glass /Options This Trinket allows Sprout to take full advantage over his 2 Statistics Star Extraction Speed (0.85 extraction speed) and Skill Check (67 skill check size). Here are some options to pair Magnifying Glass with: Vee's Remote , to allow for quicker Floor progression, especially if teammates also carry Vee's Remote, and better Tapes collection; Participation Award , to speed up Machine completion by maximizing Skill Check extraction. However, it leaves you with a near 1 Star Window Size (23.28 avg); Blue Bandana , to avoid some Skill Checks and slightly improve Sprout's extraction; Stress Ball , to increase Extraction Speed gradually every successful Skill Check hit; Thinking Cap , to increase Skill Check size, helping you hit your Skill Checks easier if you struggle with such; Mime Makeup , to avoid attracting Twisteds to your location when you miss a Skill Check, also helps if you desire to complete Dyle's Floor at ease; Train Whistle, to be able to extract without being slowed by Twisted Finn Render ; Any Trinkets listed in the Distraction/Mobility section, to help with distraction or just mobility in general Ability/Support
