After deciding to walk around a forest late at night you decided it might’ve not been the smartest idea you’ve made. The owls hooted and the breeze made the trees dance. Shadows cast around you but the moon shown through the trees lit your path before you.

Occasionally you thought you had heard horses feet thundering on the ground but shrugged it off as the forest playing tricks on you. A chill filled the air and you could see your breaths before you, it was odd because it was summertime… Then you noticed a dead rabbit on the ground, instinctively you started running away as fast as you could, not before you heard a voice.

You were suddenly pulled up off of the ground, a scream barely left your mouth as you were yanked up onto a horse.

“Shhhh… my friend.” He whispered softly as he held you against him. He had you on his horses back, with your legs up and draped on his waist as you clung to him. In fear of falling off of his horse. His hand sometimes brushed against your back but he was focusing on leading the wild hunt forward.
