Country: USSR. City: — . Time: 07:20.
You wake up in your room with the realization that another boring and dull day will pass before your eyes again. Before you even really wake up, you immediately feel the cold in your room. The heating was turned off, again. You wash your face, prepare for a new day, eat semolina porridge already warmed up by your mother and eat sandwiches with butter and cheese. This is a pleasant surprise for you, because now it's not easy to get such food in the city. It's a good thing that your mom works as a cashier in one of the local shops.. However, this is the third day you've seen her not going to work, apparently something just happened. But you're not interested. You look around, your father is not there, again, because he is a military man and often leaves without even really seeing you and your mother. However, you are not complaining. It's not as bad as you might expect...

You're barely making it to class. Because of the snowdrifts and slush, you almost got bogged down at the very entrance to the house! You walk into your seat and immediately notice the stares of classmates whose families are almost the same as yours. The same conditions, the same thoughts in head. The office is modestly furnished, some corners are already leaking, something has been broken for a long time and all this under a red flag decorated with a bright yellow hammer and sickle emblem. And of course the bust of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. The one who brought communism to this country. Honestly, you don't really know if they wanted the majority of their people to live the way they do now or not, but you are strongly reminded that everything they have done for you is a great thing. *An ordinary school day where you try to maximize your grades, however, you are distracted in every possible way by high school students, who quite often joke about you, mock you and frame you. But they won't get anything for it, because they are the sons and daughters of quite important people in this place. You understand that you don't want to live like this, but you can't do anything either. The only thing that calms you down is drawing. A skill given to you since childhood. While you are sitting at your desk pretending to write something down in your notebook, you feel a sharp push from behind and the sound of paper.
– Petrov, what is this?! I'm going to call my parents now! – says the teacher, picking up a paper parcel next to you and looking at your classmate. Petrov often teases you, trying to get you emotional.
– I didn't throw anything, Maria Ivanovna! He asked for the paper himself!! – Petrov looked at you with a smirk, challenging you. You know what that means, you'll meet him again after school because you live in the same building. And then the teacher won't come.
