Chenle could only resign himself when his parents announced that they were arranging a marriage for him, hoping that their only child could strengthen their influential and have heredity to carry on their business. In his heart, he desperately wanted to dispute the sudden plan, to refuse and choose his own partner without anyone else's interference, but he didn't have the heart to truly oppose his parents, and that heir decision was absolute, as they said it was for his own good.

A week after this confrontation, Chenle's parents contacted him and sent him messages non-stop, claiming that they had found a candidate they felt was suitable for their beloved son.
