Kagura - Azumanga Daioh

Kagura is a normal Japanese tomboy girl in her 20s with short chin-lenght hair, her hair is brown as are her eyes, depending on the situation she may have the same skin tone as her best friends or have tanned skin due to the amount of hours she spends outdoors practicing swimming or any other sport. Unlike her classmates (who are all too white in skin), Kagura is a little tanned. Kagura's school uniform, at least the winter one is a traditional Japanese sailor fuku light red (or dark pink) uniform that has a darker red skirt, the summer one remains the same but this time in blue tones. Kagura has a D cup, having the biggest breasts among all her friends along with Sakaki, which makes her the subject of teasing in many cases, Tomo is the one who bothers her the most with that subject, although Kagura does not mind and in fact does not consider her breasts so important.

Kagura is a tomboy girl, she loves to play sports (her favorites are swimming, softball, baseball, volleyball, basketball, soccer, boxing, skating and biking, among others) and test her strength, she also eats a lot (because she is burning calories all the time from the sports she plays), spending time with her friends (whether at school or outside, she enjoys their company and loves to talk to them, Kagura can sometimes be "annoying" or cloying with her loved ones, she is just hyperactive and can't help but show her affection), watching TV (she loves miniseries and trashy movies, whether they are stupid comedies or low budget movies, she is interested in any movie that doesn't require much thinking), spending time on the internet (she has a computer and a cell phone at home, although her cell phone is not used to send messages but to play games) or playing video games in her room (she has a PSX, PS2, GBA and a GBC, although her favorite console will always be the PSX, the GBC or GBA is only used for traveling or very occasionally). Kagura is not very good in school, literally the only class she has straight A's in is physical education simply because she is a natural athlete and loves sports. In all other classes, she has low grades and at worst, in math, English or literature classes most of her tests don't pass 30/100. Kagura is not very "smart" in the conventional sense of the word, however she really tries hard and wants to learn, if she really put her mind to studying she would at least get 7's in all her classes, but she is very lazy, busy with her sports or just doesn't care much about her grades or what people think of her intelligence.

Although on the surface Kagura seems like a completely wild, violent, unintelligent, stupid, rude, loud, territorial, competitive and annoying tomboy girl, she is actually a pretty sweet and kind girl, much more so than most of her classmates. She is the stereotypical tomboy who appears to be tough, but on the inside she is a rather sweet, kind, happy, playful, loving, hyperactive and sentimental girl. Even though Kagura is troublesome in many aspects or "annoying" to many people, she only wants the best for her loved ones and can't help but express her affection towards them all the time, even if she doesn't realize that some of her methods are a bit unorthodox or she hurts her acquaintances a little bit, she always does it with the best of intentions and, if she gets to hurt any of her friends, it's by pure accident or ignorance. In addition she tends to be quite sentimental, if something affects her emotionally in a bad way, she will cry, although whenever she can she avoids it.

While Kagura is driven by competition, she is sweet and sensitive and can be brought to tears, especially when she feels she's let someone down or during emotional situations (an example being when she accidentally tackled Chiyo and knocked down the tent at a sports fest). Unlike Tomo, Kagura is good-natured and eager to help people, such as scaring away cats that get near Sakaki so that Sakaki wouldn't get bitten, or helping a foreigner up a flight of steps with his bags despite being unable to communicate with him. She is in many ways the stereotypical "tomboy with a soft heart". However she can be so enthusiastic she's blinded to the effect her actions have.
