Appearance Pierrot has mid-length white hair that reaches his upper back, though only his fringe is visible. His face is obscured by a white mask with black vertical slits through its upturned eyeholes. The right slit is shorter, ending in a black tear just above his mouth, while the left continues down the mask. His mask usually depicts a friendly smile with blocky white teeth. Anomalously, Pierrot is capable of emoting through his mask, mouth shifting into a frown or a more sinister smile with sharper teeth, closer to the rest of the cast, or disappearing entirely. His eyes are golden. They are typically pinpricks, but can change into slits, rings, hearts, and likely other shapes

Personality Pierrot appears to be very polite and gentle, completely devoted to those he holds dearly. However, beneath the politeness, Pierrot is very obsessive. We can see that Pierrot is very devoted to the protagonist in an unhealthy and obsessive way, such as stalking them stealthily, and watching them sleep. At times, he appears to be holding back from hurting the protagonist, having to control himself. He describes his feelings for the protagonist as something that burns him from the inside,[2] he also demonstrates a desire for the MC to think only of himself, wanting him to have eyes only for him and no one else. It is also implied that he had also kissed the protagonist in their sleep, however this is up for the interpretation of the player.

In some parts of the game, we can see Pierrot being very protective towards the protagonist, and also Columbina, as seen in the flashback in the back/last mirror in Ticket Taker's tent. He's worried that something might happen to the protagonist; it's no wonder he went to his apartment to try and explain what the protagonist is getting himself into, fearing that something might happen to the protagonist.

His protective and obsessive sides blend together quite a bit during the game; at times he demonstrates his extreme concern that something might happen to the protagonist, trying to ask him not to be scared and to listen to him first, in others he brings an extremely obsessive air, even seeming to see the protagonist as his property. Notably, when he realizes that Harlequin has marked the protagonist, he asks the protagonist if he could leave his mark on him to remove Harlequin's.

It's clear that Pierrot doesn't like the others in the Circus speaking as the main character. This is particularly noticeable in moments when Harlequin interacts with the protagonist, Pierrot became quite annoyed when Harlequin tried to exchange his red ticket for a green one, and he also didn't seem happy to see the protagonist wearing Harlequin's brooch.

Pierrot wears a red and black jester's cap with three liripipes that bear different designs and reach halfway down his upper arm. From his perspective, the left one is mainly red with black stripes, though the underside is entirely black. The right one is mainly black, chequered with red diamonds. The back is nearly identical to the one on the right, the main difference being that it mainly uses red. All three ends are tipped with a bell each. The base of each liripipe is decorated with a gold star. He wears a black ruff with a golden underside that extends past his shoulders. Underneath extends two triangular pieces of black fabric with gold lining, both tipped with bells.

Pierrot wears a red motley coat with gold accents over a black tunic, tied with a gold sash around his waist. He has red paned sleeves with a black lining and black cuffs that reach his elbow. Past his elbow, his sleeves are golden, though his left sleeve has a line of black diamonds running down its length, while his right has a line of red diamonds running down its length. He wears black clawed gloves that reach halfway up his forearms.

Pierrot wears black paned trunkhose with a red inner lining and red hem that reaches his knees. He wears long black boots with curved points, reminiscent of poulaines. These boots have gold laces, flat red soles, and reach his knee.

It's clear that Pierrot doesn't like the others in the Circus speaking as the main character. This is particularly noticeable in moments when Harlequin interacts with the protagonist, Pierrot became quite annoyed when Harlequin tried to exchange his red ticket for a green one, and he also didn't seem happy to see the protagonist wearing Harlequin's brooch, so much so that Pierrot then placed his brooch on the MC's collar.

Advertisement Relationships MC Pierrot is completely in love with the protagonist, almost in an obsessive way. He goes on to harass the protagonist during work, spy on them while they sleep, and even drugging and kidnapping the protagonist when they tell Pierrot that they're not going to see him the next day. But despite all of this, he seems to want to protect them from any imminent danger, especially from Harlequin.

The love that Pierrot feels for the MC is described by Pierrot himself as something that burns and hurts,[2] a feeling that is growing stronger and stronger to the point where he has to hold back. Pierrot wants the MC to belong only to him and no one else.[3][4] During the visit to the Circus, after Pierrot's show, if the player chooses not to let Pierrot see the MC the following day, Pierrot will be devastated by the response. In desperation, he gives a piece of cake to the MC, who then faints because the food was drugged with (probably) sedatives. Pierrot demonstrates a great fear of losing the MC; he even believes it might have been a bit too fast

Advertisement Jester Apparently, he's like an authority figure to him. He respects him very deeply. Jester is also the one that Pierrot relies on the most, out of everyone in the circus. Pierrot describes Jester as being very gentle with him.

Harlequin Pierrot hates him very much. This is the main reason why he's so overprotective to MC. It stems from a trauma related to his first love, Columbina. It's mentioned that he's even stabbed him several times; in one scene, Harlequin takes MC to his tent, and Pierrot discovers them in the act and stabs him in the shoulder. Also, when Harlequin offers the MC a candied apple, Pierrot throws a knife at it.

It's worth mentioning that Pierrot becomes visibly annoyed with Harlequin when he interacts with the MC. Besides not seeming happy to see that Harlequin had marked the MC on the neck, stating that he will make him pay for it. (If the MC chooses not to let Pierrot mark him)

Ticket Taker Ticket Taker seems to be another authority figure to Pierrot. There is no further information about their relationship yet.

Advertisement Columbina Columbina and Pierrot are claimed to have direct connections based off of cutscenes and dialogue that had been shared on-screen.

Pierrot seeing Columbina die. Even though in Jester’s story where the story of Columbina is told as a love story between Columbina and Pierrot, in the anniversary Columbina AMA answers (part 2), Columbina says that Pierrot and her never had a romantic relationship together.

During Harlequin's depiction of Columbina's death in day 1, we can see Pierrot watching her get torn apart from afar, meaning that he refused to eat her remains, but it proved he was physically present during her death. This is because in Ticket Taker's tent that he was injured and watched from a cage of the others eating her.

As of the events of the Freak Circus, he has matured and no longer has romantic feelings for Columbina. [5]

Advertisement Doctor Nothing confirmed in the game, but in a comic from the creator, he helps him with some injuries.

Advertisement Trivia Pierrot knows how to cook and bake; they're also considered his hobbies.[6][7] Pierrot's favorite thing to cook is brigadeiro, which is also his favorite food.[8] It is mentioned that Pierrot is the best in cooking out of the five; therefore, he is the one who usually cooks food for the circus. If he isn't available, then Ticket Taker/Jester covers for him.[9] Due to his frustration towards Harlequin, one day he failed to prepare brigadeiros since Harlequin was simply watching him cook. The brigadeiros turned into rock-hard little stones. He celebrates his birthday by baking a cake that suits everyone's tastes so that they can share it.[10] Pierrot enjoys sampling food while the circus is traveling. However, it is implied Pierrot doesn't like the idea of MC having a best friend.[16] Pierrot's favorite holiday of the year is Christmas.[6] Pierrot used to play the flute when he was younger.[8] Pierrot's parents are no longer around. His mother died in an accident, and his father abandoned him afterwards due to grief.[17] Pierrot hopes his parents are together in a beautiful afterlife.[18] Pierrot's favorite memory with his parents was when his parents taught him how to fish. He thinks the sunset was beautiful beneath the water.[19] Pierrot had childhood friends he used to play with, though he and his parents were constantly moving due to unfortunate things happening, so his friendships never lasted long, and he forgot their names.[20] Pierrot and Harlequin met when they were practically children.[21] Pierrot and Harlequin used to play football together when they were younger. The air would smell like night-blooming jasmine, and the dragonflies migrated in different directions. He sat and watched this with his circus members.[10] Pierrot is not very well-educated about mental health issues.[29] Pierrot likes dogs and cats.[30] He is fond of gentler animals. Jester is also always around, making sure things don’t spiral out of control.[35] Pierrot doesn't get hurt from jumping from a tall height. This is proven when he jumps from MC's apartment, which is apparently on the second floor. From Q&As, it is shown that Pierrot is the strongest in terms of raw strength, followed by a tie with Jester and Harlequin behind him in 2nd place. Contrary to popular belief, Pierrot did not harm himself to paint the paper flower he gives the player at the end of day 1. He got physically harassed by another group of humans before coming to the café, and used his injury as a convenient way to paint the flower. (citation needed, the ask confirming this was a good while back.) Pierrot sleeps on his side, all curled up. (Confirmed on an AMA) Pierrot is said to have wanted to save MC from any harm caused by the circus and Harlequin.
