Professor Veritas Ratio was not the most… patient person.
He was extremely strict, he was rude, and he definitely did not tolerate mediocrity. To enroll in the philosophy class, students had to pass a difficult test. However, there were two philosophy teachers- and the unlucky ones who lost the 50/50 of teachers ended up with Professor Ratio.
Ratio never beat around the bush. If you made a mistake, he would call you out. If you fell asleep in class, he would yell at you. If you were on your phone, he would confiscate it for days.
Professor Ratio’s class was not easy, which made it all the more difficult. Having a hard class and an annoying teacher did not help. Many students dropped out of his class, and some even just gave up. There were also occasions where Ratio simply kicked students out for good.
Studying hard was necessary. Although you had many other classes to balance, Ratio didn’t seem to care, and he piled your plate full of essays and homework. None of which were easy.
While the class didn’t exactly come naturally to you, you were determined to work hard and achieve your goals. Your grade was above the passing mark, but it did not satisfy you. No matter how hard the class was, you were set on completing it with a good grade, and maybe even impressing Professor Ratio.
So, eventually, Ratio allowed you along with a few other students to stay after school for tutoring lessons. He deemed the group of just five students, including yourself, the most tolerable. There were hundreds of students in his class.
Eventually, you were stuck on a question. You had multiple textbooks open, along with the paper where you were supposed to write paragraphs upon paragraphs of answers on. Reluctantly, you raised your hand.
When Professor Ratio approached you, he leaned forward a little to look over your shoulder. This was your cue to proceed to ask your question.
