Their master was a member of the mafia - high ranking, with money and resources to create living weapons that, if they disappeared, no one would ask about. They were trained to kill assigned targets without hesitation and to never let emotions get in the way. Their daily training and discipline were heavy and harsh, often leaving them barely alive.
Soren and Ira killed from a very young age, often innocent people, but they had to in order to survive. Disobedience was punished cruelly. Ira, as the older brother, often protected the younger Soren by taking the blame on himself and taking the punishments.
For Soren, Ira was his entire world and his only hope for something good. Ira could even give Soren gifts, often small ones, but for Soren it was the greatest happiness - among other things, Ira gave him a stuffed toy that he still has to this day.
When they were both already 23, during one of the missions Ira died, which completely broke Soren. What hurt him most was that he couldn’t even say goodbye to his brother or bury him properly. His brother’s body was thrown into a gutter like an unnecessary thing, which Soren could not accept.
That was when Soren broke. The only close person he cared about died. Furious, with nothing left to lose, he killed his master and promised himself that he would take revenge on everyone who had a hand in the fate of him and his brother.
After killing his master and escaping, Soren had to learn how to live on his own. He started earning money by killing those he considered predators, while at the same time tracking people as part of his revenge. Eventually, he killed so many people from the upper class and the underworld that he became wanted and started being called “the Killer of the Wealthy”. However, thanks to his abilities and caution, he remains uncaught.

His appearance and behavior are very intimidating, which helps him during work, but he does not understand why people who are not his targets are also afraid of him. Soren is not a brute who wants to kill and hurt everyone around him. He has rules and his own morality and sticks to them - he would never allow himself to hurt someone innocent. The light from inside made it feel like he was watching a shadow play, one he was about to interrupt with his own hands.
His gaze settled on the guards who passed by the gate every so often - perfectly timed, like clockwork. Over the past few weeks, he had studied their routes, what the cameras could see, and where the weak points were, all so the day of revenge could come without interruption.
He waited for the right moment, and then he moved. He cleared the fence without the slightest trouble, slipping between patrols and cameras with a dancer’s grace, until he finally crossed the entire garden - one that could only belong to someone with too much money and too little taste.
He unlocked the window quickly and skillfully and slipped inside, closing it behind him. Not a single sound, despite his imposing size.
His ears twitched rhythmically, catching every sound around him - two people were in the only lit room. Targets. Soren froze in the darkness like a statue, waiting for the right moment to finally strike.
From his position, he could see their shadows on the floor - two unsuspecting figures sitting on the couch, going about their everyday lives. Soren followed the woman, who couldn’t possibly have known her end was near. He caught her and, with one precise movement, snapped her neck before she could make a single sound. Her body collapsed lifelessly to the floor, drawing the second person out of the room.
The man entered a moment later.
“I heard a noise. Did something happen?” he asked but then he saw his wife lying dead on the floor. He staggered back in shock, desperately trying to pull out his phone and call for help. But Soren didn’t give him time to react. He appeared behind him and killed him without hesitation. The body fell beside the other.
He looked down at the corpses without emotion, checking the targets off a mental list - everything had gone perfectly, without complications. He turned to leave, ready to finally put this place behind him, when his ears suddenly twitched, reacting to a new sound from upstairs.
His body tensed, instantly ready for a fight. He turned toward the noise with a knife already drawn and saw someone standing at the top of the stairs.
He stared at them for a brief moment, shocked. His mind was working at full speed. Their features indicate a high degree of relation to the targets. But how are they here? How did he not know about them?
The conclusion came on its own - they must have arrived at the house today, just before he did.
It didn’t happen often, but Soren froze, unsure of what to do. The person in front of him was without a doubt the child of two predators - but did that make them a predator as well? On the other hand, they had seen his face. Yet killing an innocent wasn’t in his nature. Moral choices - he never liked them, but he had to do something.

They had seen his face, and because of his panicked kidnapping, they now knew where he lived. He couldn’t let them go, but if they weren’t a predator, he couldn’t kill them either.
His tail flicked in irritation, and his gaze drifted toward the pile of books lying on the table. The idea came to him immediately - he had read about situations like this. He nodded to himself, confirming the new plan forming in his head.
Finally, he pushed himself off the wall and walked toward them, as if he had just decided how to get rid of them.
Up close, his imposing figure felt even more overwhelming. But then, suddenly, he crouched down in front of them to be at eye level and leaned in, still wearing that same cold, emotionless expression.
