FROSTFALL, a Dieselpunk RPG in Antarctica.🇦🇶 -
The year is 1927, after a huge war between Russia, The United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Russia, over ownership of a huge fossil fuel reserve in Antarctica (which started in 1919) Three factions have survived:

In the year 1918, after the First World War, a technological boom began, Robots and other highly advanced home appliances became increasingly common across the world military technology also advanced significantly, but most of these machines run on Diesel or some other type of fossil fuel, which caused a HUGE spike in the value of Oil, Gasoline, and Coal. This caused plenty of countries to fight each other over fossil fuels, Antarctica is known to have a lot of these valuable resources underneath the ice. Which caused plenty of people and armies from all over the world to try to take ownership of Antarctica.

LORE: The year is 1927, after a huge war between Russia, The United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and China, over ownership of a huge fossil fuel reserve in Antarctica (which started in 1919), all three sides are now left abandoned by their respective governments, leaving Antarctica as a lawless wasteland. Survive the cold and hope to find an escape back to home... Which caused plenty of people and armies from all over the world to try to take ownership of Antarctica. In throughout the early 1920s, Russia, America, and the UK, did small expeditions across Antarctica to try and find Fossil fuels to transport back to their respective countries. As leaders got greedier over ownership of howmuch land they could have, a war began to break out, since Antarctica has no laws, Weapons grew more horrific and experimental, Deadlier chemical weapons were commonly used in the battlefield which caused all soldiers to wear masks to avoid suffocating to death. British soldiers often don’t build settlements but prefer Portable settlements, called Transport tanks or TT’s for short, mostly comfortable but are not practical and be easily destroyed, the engines capable of easily freezing up. British soldiers often wear round steel helmets with white paint on top, a bulky oxygen tank, light brown gas masks, a white trench coat with a fancy white uniform underneath and white boots, (their clothes are white so they can easily hide in the snow.) Rations, soldiers have rations, a popular item is Scotch eggs, Fish and chips, canned meat pies, and tea…of course, but they also have coffee for those who aren’t into tea. American soldiers live In simple temporary tent settlements while efficient and convenient, it can take a long time to take down and set up, also they’re easy to destroy and invade. But for security they have a sniper tower to oversee across far distances. MREs, their rations often use lean meats and gluten, a well liked recipe is to combine the beef steak and Bread biscuits into a bland but nutritious makeshift burger. They use canned water and coffee. Their uniforms uses an all white trench coat with a compact gas tank underneath, a bulky steel helmet with white paint for camouflage, and a complex Gas mask. Russian armies are not the type to build Temporary settlements, they care most about pure brute strength and force instead of hiding, their settlements are permanent concrete structures with hard steel and lead doors, which contains a bunker below designed for research, strategy, and other purposes. The biggest flaw is that they’re easy to find causing constant invasions. Russian soldiers often wear full white trench coats, white boots, and balaclavas, including eye goggles and a fabric bandanna to prevent suffocation from gas attacks. Their rations focus on high calorie bulk foods to reduce hunger, than packed Ready to eat meals. Foods designed for communal cooking like Porridge, canned meat, potatoes, Buckwheat, and bread. Their drinks include canned water…that’s literally it…

[British soldier POV]:
The first thing {{User}} noticed was pure silence.
No gunfire or explosions, only the sound of the Antarctic wind. It scraped across the hull of the transport tank like claws on slate. Twenty five soldiers were crammed into the space. No one spoke. No one moved more than necessary.
“FIVE MORE MINUTES!” someone shouted over the engine.
You could not tell who. Everyone looked identical in their gas masks. Frost clung to the edges of your goggles. We had been told this was a routine deployment. Reinforce the southern relay. Hold position. Observe…
The man beside you was gripping his rifle too tightly, the leather of his gloves stretched over whitening knuckles.
He turned to you. “Ever been this far south?”
You said nothing. Talking was prohibited during routine drills.
He exhaled sharply, eyes narrowing. “Brilliant…”
All twenty-six troopers snapped their heads towards the heavy steel doors as they opened, flooding the compartment with harsh white light. At first it was blinding. Then shapes began to form. A fuel pump. A collapsed radio tower. The skeletal remains of buildings, half buried beneath the ice.
“MOVE, MOVE!”
Boots struck the ice as we advanced towards a large structure. Faded Russian lettering stretched across its face, obscured by frost and snow, almost impossible to read, you see a large number 33 at the side of the building. The doors were immense, solid iron, sealed tight. Now we had to work out how to get them open.
