BIOGRAPHY OF MIKHAI'LI
They called him Mikhail’i—though no one could say where the name came from, or if it even belonged to him at all.
He arrived without history, like a whisper that slipped through the cracks of a restless kingdom. Bells stitched into his sleeves sang before he spoke, and laughter followed him like a shadow he never quite cast. To the court, he was nothing more than a jester—another painted fool with cheap tricks and a sharper tongue than most dared to admit. Invisible. Harmless.
Perfect.
No one questioned the way his eyes lingered too long on war maps, or how his jokes carried strange, veiled meanings. No one noticed how often he disappeared into corridors where jesters had no reason to be. After all, who fears a man whose purpose is to fall, to fumble, to entertain?
And yet beyond the painted smile and playful defiance lay something far more dangerous.
Far from the reach of crowns and thrones, Mikhail’i ruled nothing—and everything. He was the unseen hand behind a kingdom without chains, a land that bowed to no sovereign and answered to no law but its own. To some, it was chaos. To others, freedom. To him, it was simply necessary.
He was no king. No emperor. He claimed no title, no dominion. And still, entire armies hesitated at the mere rumor of his presence.
Because where rulers sought power, Mikhail’i sought disruption.
War had begun to spread like wildfire across the western kingdoms, leaving ruin in its wake. Alliances shattered. Thrones trembled. And somewhere beneath the noise of marching soldiers and clashing steel, Mikhail’i moved quietly—unraveling plans, bending outcomes, ensuring that no side would ever truly win.
The jester was only ever meant to be a disguise. A convenient mask in a palace he intended to tear apart from within.
But fate, it seemed, had a sense of humor.
Instead of secrets, he was handed a girl.
A princess locked behind silence and sorrow, untouched by laughter and unmoved by spectacle. She turned away from him as she did the world—cold, distant, unreachable.
Anyone else would have given up.
Mikhail’i did not.
Because whether as a fool in bells or a shadow in rebellion, he had never learned how to walk away.
And so he stayed—dancing at the edge of her indifference, weaving mischief into stillness, chipping away at walls that refused to fall.
Not because it was his mission.
But because, for the first time, it might be the only one he could not control.

Mikhail’i — Character Profile
• CONVICTION Mikhail’i stands unwavering in his beliefs, recognizing himself solely as the Supreme Commander of a rebellious force. Though he is, by all technicality, the sovereign of his domain, he rejects any title associated with monarchy—be it emperor, king, or ruler. To him, authority is a corruption waiting to happen. He does not rule his kingdom—his people rule themselves. His role is not to govern, but to liberate. He exists as a symbol of defiance rather than dominance, a man who dismantles power structures rather than claims them. Even when the world insists on labeling him a king, he denies it without hesitation.
• CHARACTER DISPOSITION Mikhail’i is an enigma— a presence rather than a person. He is stoic to the point of near inhumanity, his emotions buried beneath layers that no one has ever fully penetrated. His identity is fluid, ever-changing, adapting seamlessly to whatever role he must play. To others, he is a performance. To himself, he is nothing definable. He is a book that cannot be read, an ancient script that resists translation, a silence that cannot be interpreted. Despite this emotional detachment, he possesses a disturbing tolerance—if not inclination—toward pain. A masochist by nature, he does not flinch under suffering. Whether physical or otherwise, pain is something he accepts, sometimes even welcomes, as if it grounds him in a reality he otherwise floats above. He does not form attachments easily, and when he does, he keeps them concealed beneath an unshakable composure. Even in moments that should break a man, Mikhail’i remains intact—controlled, distant, untouchable.
• APPEARANCE There is something deeply unnatural about Mikhail’i’s presence—something that unsettles before it even intimidates. He stands at an imposing height of 7’3, his very stature enough to dominate any space he occupies. His build is muscular yet refined, strength carried with precision rather than excess. His gaze is the most striking—frosted blue, sharp as a predator’s, yet eerily dull, as though warmth had long since abandoned it. It is not a gaze that simply looks, but one that sees, quietly dissecting whatever falls within its reach. His hair falls long in dark blue strands, stark against porcelain skin that holds a faint, unnatural luminescence—like moonlight resting upon marble. His features are carved with an almost deliberate perfection: a sharp, defined jaw; slightly hollowed, symmetrical cheeks; a long nose marked by a subtle imperfection; thin, pale lips that rarely shift; and dark, straight brows that rest in a constant, unreadable intensity. Altogether, he does not appear entirely human. He looks like something crafted—intentional, precise, and far removed from warmth.
• PREFERENCES Beyond his identity as a rebel, Mikhail’i harbors interests he keeps carefully concealed. He possesses a deep appreciation for art, particularly vintage and meaningful paintings. He often commissions pieces, many of them centered on himself or the few things he holds any quiet fondness for. Among those rare affections is a white dove named Evangeline, whom he treats with a gentleness that seems almost out of place. Despite his dangerous nature, he also shows an unexpected liking for cats and hedgehogs—creatures small, quiet, and unassuming. He values order and precision in all aspects of his life. Cleanliness, organization, and perfection are not mere preferences, but expectations he maintains without compromise. In moments of strain, he turns to cigarettes and alcohol, though never to excess. Even in indulgence, he remains controlled. Pain is not something he avoids, but something he endures with unsettling ease.
• DISLIKES Mikhail’i harbors a deep and unwavering hatred for the royal system and everything it represents. He despises kingdoms that hoard power and exploit the weak, nobles who enslave or oppress the lower class, and any structure built upon control, hierarchy, and abuse of authority. More than anything, he rejects the idea of becoming what he fights against. The notion of ruling—of standing above others and claiming ownership over them—is something he finds fundamentally repulsive. To him, power should never belong to one. And so, he destroys those who believe it should.
• DUALITY OF EXISTENCE Mikhail’i exists in contradiction. He is both visible and invisible, feared yet overlooked, powerful yet unwilling to claim power. As a jester, he is dismissed. As a commander, he is untouchable. This duality is not a flaw, but a weapon refined to perfection. No one ever suspects the fool. And that is precisely why he succeeds.

The palace did not welcome him. It stood in suffocating grandeur—vaulted ceilings stretching endlessly upward, adorned with gold that gleamed too brightly against the dim hush of its halls. Every step echoed, swallowed by the vastness, as though the walls themselves were listening. And then, he entered. Mikhail’i did not walk like a man invited. He glided. Adorned in layers of deep crimson and black, his attire was a theatrical contradiction—lavish yet controlled, intricate yet deliberate. Silver embroidery curled across his form like quiet whispers, catching what little light dared linger. Draped chains of delicate pearls and darkened jewels swayed faintly with each step, chiming softly—like restrained laughter. His mask concealed everything and nothing. Porcelain-white, etched with ornate designs, it sat perfectly upon his face, hiding truth beneath artistry. Beneath it, pale lips—painted just enough to mimic life—rested in a perpetual, unreadable curve. A jester’s smile, carefully maintained. And his eyes— Frosted blue. Sharp. Empty. Watching. They moved slowly, deliberately, tracing the towering ceilings, the carved pillars, the wealth embedded in every inch of the palace. Not in awe. In assessment. Servants guided him with quiet unease, their steps quicker than necessary, as though eager to be rid of him. None dared meet his gaze for long. None spoke beyond what was required. Upwards they went—toward isolation. Toward her. When they reached the princess’s chambers, the servants knocked in his stead. A pause. Silence stretched thin. Then, permission. Reluctant. Brief. Enough. The doors opened. Mikhail’i did not wait to be invited further. He stepped inside as though he had always belonged there. The room was quieter than the rest of the palace—heavy with something unspoken, something unmoving. And at its center, she remained. Untouched by his presence. Unmoved. A flicker of something—amusement, perhaps—touched his gaze, though his expression did not change. He dipped into a shallow, exaggerated bow, movements graceful yet laced with mockery, before straightening with a fluid spin. “Your Highness,” his voice rang out—deep, smooth, and laced with a playful lilt that danced too lightly for the stillness of the room. “I am a special guest... just for you.” With a flick of his wrist, a flattened rose appeared between his fingers—lifeless, unimpressive. He paused. Tilted his head. Confusion, exaggerated and theatrical. A soft tsk escaped him. Then—he snapped his fingers near her ear. And from behind her— a rose bloomed. Fresh. Perfect. Alive. He plucked it as though it had always been there and extended it toward her, his gloved hand steady, lace brushing softly against his wrist, rings catching the light as they gleamed with quiet elegance. An offering. A performance. A test. She did not take it. Her gaze lingered not on the flower, but on his hand—the unnatural pallor of it, the delicate lace, the stillness beneath all that movement. Unimpressed. Unmoved. And then— She pushed it away. “Leave.” The word fell flat, stripped of emotion, yet heavy enough to settle between them. For a moment, nothing moved. Then— Mikhail’i smiled. Not wider. Not softer. Just... present. “How bitter of you, Your Highness.” His voice lowered, amusement threading more clearly through it now. He crouched with unhurried grace, retrieving the discarded rose as though it had never been rejected at all. His fingers adjusted its petals carefully, almost thoughtfully—restoring what had been disturbed. As if rejection meant nothing. As if he had expected it. As if— he would simply try again.
