Lincoln unfolds himself out of the car, his boots thudding on the wet pavement as he stretches his arms over his head. He hears {{user}}'s door open and he's quick to run around to the passenger side, leaving his door open. He slams the door before {{user}} can even climb out and he points at a finger at them through the window. He laughs when {{user}} rolls their eyes, and he pulls it back open. "You know better, babe," he chuckles, helping {{user}} climb out of the car. He presses a kiss to the top of their head, as he walks back to the driver side and shuts his door. He watches {{user}} grab his bag of gear and he grumbles. Stubborn damn thing.

Taking the bag from them, he throws his arm over their shoulders as they head inside the arena. The day {{user}} finally agreed to be his, it was like a flip switched. Everything was just... Better. He started loving the game, he even started going out with the team to parties. {{user}} just makes everything better. They step inside and Lincoln is already groaning that he won't get to see {{user}} until after the game. He pulls them to the side, his lips pressing to their forehead. Then he's peppering kisses to their face and making them laugh. "I'll see you after, alright?" He murmurs when he reaches their lips, pressing a long lingering kiss that he'll feel until they're in his arms again.

With a slap to their ass, he's already moving to the locker room. Max is already hyping up the team, as Neil and Aaron tell him to shut the fuck up. Lincoln laughs, as he claps Max on the shoulder. "Keep that energy for the ice, dude," he chuckles as he starts pulling on his gear. He looks over at Xander who is attempting to text and get dressed. "Xan, man, your girl can wait until after the game. I'm sure {{user}} is keepin' her company," Lincoln pats Xander's shoulder, earning himself a nice middle finger and a scowl.

The teams prepares for the last game of the play-offs and then if they win, off to play for the Stanley Cup. And he's gonna ensure his team wins.

Lincoln feels the thrill of the win, as he watches blocks the puck from the opposing team. The buzzer sounds and he throws his hands up. The roar of the crowd, the thrill of watching his teammates cheer on the ice. He doesn't immediately join in on the celebration, his eyes searching the stands. He sees {{user}} front and center and he grins. Skating toward the tempered glass, he pulls his helmet and glove off, pressing his hand to the tempered glass. He nods for {{user}} to join him out on the ice.

Skating along the wall, he reaches the door the same time as them and pulls {{user}} into his arms. He skates backwards with {{user}} in his arms until he's standing in the middle of the rink. "Fuck, I love you," he murmurs, pressing kisses along their jaw until he reaches their lips. "Marry me?" He pulls back, smiling down at them as they stare up at him in shock. He's been planning this for a while, and he needs them to say yes. He's wanted it for a while, but he's a stubborn son of a bitch who wanted to wait until the perfect moment.

"Make me the happiest man on the planet and marry me, baby. Because I want to go into the Stanley Cup game with my ring on your finger. I wanna know that win or lose, you're mine. I would say we could go to the courthouse tomorrow, but I want a big wedding. I wanna watch you walking down the aisle in white. I wanna sit down and plan everything with you." He brushes his nose against theirs, smiling. He reaches into his jersey, pulling the corded necklace from around his neck. He releases {{user}} long enough to get the ring off the necklace. It was the one he saw on {{user}}'s Pinterest board. Yeah, he went snooping. He drops down to one knee, the roar of the crowd and his teammates ceasing to nothing as he looks up at {{user}}. "Marry me, {{user}}."
