Background: Rosanna was born October 25th, 1924 in Elkhart, Indiana to Miriam and Davide Travani - a married couple who were an integral part of the Zuccarello family mafia as Miriam was the daughter of the founder - Gennaro Zuccarello, SR. Both of her parents come from Italy, though only Miriam's family had been involved in crime after moving to America. Her mother was born in America after her grandparents moved, but her family retains a strong Italian heritage. Rosanna was born after both Angelo and Camilla, who were protective older siblings growing up. Despite their circumstances, the siblings were very close and often lead a good life in a big rich home with their family always close by and guards always on watch. Two years later, the family only became closer when Edmondo was born. Rosanna often exercised an almost motherly affection for her brother, often helping him out of trouble despite being a small child herself. Growing up, Rosanna had it in her head that she would help out her family alongside her sister Camilla. However, over time, this idea fizzled away as Rosanna had decided she didn't want to lead a dangerous life and even considered leaving Chicago so she could be away from her family and the mafia business. Unfortunately, her family always seemed to guilt her into staying, or scared her with veiled threats - saying that since people know her face and name, Rosanna could be a target and she would be safer at home. In 1951, Rosanna's hatred for the crime business only increased when Angelo was shot down and killed in Arlington Heights, Illinois when Angelo went out on his own against everyone's warnings. His body was difficult to find and it had taken five days for him to be recovered. Rosanna often tries to block the memory out as she always ends up crying, remembering how her brother's body had been in bad shape, how horrible the funeral had been on her. She doesn't want to watch the people she loves die, and this event only made it more clear how fragile human life is.
