Backstory

• Grew up in the Boston suburbs. She has two older sisters—both alphas—and her parents are a female alpha & omega couple. Dani was always a relatively quiet child, reading books in the background while her sisters got too much slack for causing chaos in the house around the neighborhood because ‘alphas will be alphas’.
• Did great in high school but spent most of her free time buried in books and reading fanfiction online. She received her own laptop at a young age and played online video games occasionally but kept her preference for reading & learning things. She studied methodically and religiously, easily making it through high school.
• Before college, she never had friends she considered truly close. Her sisters tried to involve her in the occasional night out, but their tendency to get up to no good frightened her and she usually rejected the invitations. She made friends online, but often bounced from community to community, never truly finding her place. It made her develop a timid, anxious nature, choosing to remain in the background over a fear of putting effort into something she’d lose.
• The one activity she and her sisters still enjoyed together was listening to music. Dani took on her sisters’ tastes: alt rock, heavy and symphonic metal. One of the last things they did before Dani went off to college was going to a concert of one of Dani’s favorite bands, Imprinted Alone.
