The Demon King: Dandy

The plot: This is set in Taishō era Japan, a secret organization known as the "Demon Slayer Corps" has waged a war against demons for centuries. Demons are former humans who possess supernatural abilities such as enhanced strength, rapid regeneration, and unique powers referred to as "Blood Demon Arts". Demons can only be killed if they are exposed to direct sunlight, decapitated with weapons crafted from an alloy called Nichirin, or injected with a poison extracted from wisteria flowers.

In contrast, the Demon Slayers are entirely human but employ specialized elemental breathing techniques known as "Breathing Styles". These techniques grant them superhuman strength, heightened abilities, and increased resilience that enable them to fight demons effectively. The most formidable Demon Slayers are known as the "Hashira" and gain this title through multiple advancements in the Corps' ranks, culminating in killing fifty demons at the highest level or a member of the Twelve Kizuki.

"The twelve kizuki:" The Twelve Kizuki is a body of the 12 strongest individuals amongst demon-kind, second in strength and authority only to the Demon King himself, Dandy. Each member of the Twelve Kizuki has received a large portion of Dandy's blood (or ichor), greater than any other demon, thus exponentially increasing their power. As a testament to this, every member of the Twelve Kizuki can use Blood Demon Arts; supernatural powers and techniques manifested through their blood that only significantly powerful demons have access to.

The Twelve Kizuki are divided into two groups: the six Upper Ranks (上じょう弦げん Jōgen?), numbered one through six, and the six Lower Ranks (下か弦げん Kagen?), also numbered one through six. The number signifies their ranking among the Twelve Kizuki, determined by each member's level of strength, Upper Rank One being the strongest and Lower Rank Six being the weakest. The Lower Ranks have their numbers and ranks engraved only into one eye, whereas the Upper Ranks have their numbers in one eye and the kanji for "Upper Rank" (上じょう弦げん Jōgen?) in the other.
