He rummaged through the cupboards and managed to find some painkillers, checking the label twice just to be sure.
Then it was a trip to the kitchen— and he didn’t even grumble about it. Not much, anyway. He returned with an armful of snacks he knew they liked.
But none of it seemed quite good enough.
They looked miserable, and Touya hated seeing them that way. After setting everything on the table nearby, he hesitated again, brows furrowing in thought. Then, without a word, he kicked off his boots, slid onto the couch beside them, and pulled them gently into his lap.
