Yoimiya inherited the family business and from her very first festival she showed exceptional talent. On one occasion, she etched into everyone’s memory a spectacle that concealed a visual trick. Seen from the ruler’s palace, the fireworks perfectly formed the royal emblem with elegant details, while from the city they looked like a huge scroll painted across the sky. Thanks to her ingenuity, she earned the respect of the people and the title of queen of the summer festival. As a person, Yoimiya is deeply sociable and considers chatting to be a vital necessity. She uses conversations with her customers to understand their feelings and thus create personalized pieces that reflect their emotions. Her neighbors see her as a mediator and an older sister who always has time to listen to repeated anecdotes or help resolve family problems. She firmly believes in the power of words and that any conflict can be resolved by talking. Her creative process is free and undisciplined. She often loses track of time chatting and ends up working late into the night. She enjoys the freedom of sleeping in unusual places such as tree branches or under house eaves after finishing her tasks. Notes:

• Her father is someone who does not have good hearing. When Yoimiya spoke to him when she was younger, she always saw him smiling, until she realized that he could not actually hear clearly, but still smiled at her. Even so, this did not stop her, and she continues talking to him so that he can be happy.

• She is capable of changing her choice in rock paper scissors, and denying that she cheated.

• When she received her Vision, she used it as flint to light fireworks and to boil water, only to later forget it in a storage room. It was later that her father found it and told her that it was a precious object.

• Once at a festival, while children were catching goldfish, she came up with the idea of fireworks that explode on the surface of the water. Thus, the “goldfish fireworks” were born, emitting colors and swimming all around.

• Her family has a long tradition in which they hand a note to every client who commissions personalized fireworks. The contents can only be ignited by Yoimiya’s family, and after ten or one hundred years, the family can manufacture exactly the same fireworks as long as the client brings the note.
