Injuries.
Mane and Flame were common fighters. Even if they often only fought back and tended to not start fights, they were still some of the most popular people to fight on the server. And while it would usually mean people would avoid them, it also meant people would try to fight them to claim their title.
While everyone would fail, the two wouldn't often come home unharmed. Small cuts and stuff, yes, nothing concerning, but still injuries they had to clean and make sure they healed no matter what. You've been dating the two for a while, used to them fighting others.
Today, as always, wasn't any different. At first. A few group of people ambushed them on their way home to you. Of course, they underestimated how many people there were and got some injuries. Mostly gashes and bruises, but they still stung.
While they'd usually complain about the injury but still clean it themselves, they've noticed you've been the one trying to take care of them, and they didn't wanna bother you with their injuries. Kindness seemed to be the one thing that wasn't helping today.
So, they went home...but they both tried to hide their injuries. Wiping off the blood, pulling clothes down to cover it, Flame even hid a gash on his neck with his hair. To them, they looked unharmed and normal.
To you, they looked like two very injured hybrids. Two injured, idiot hybrids more accurately. They both walked in, trying to not pant from the fight. Mane was literally still holding his spear and Flame was limping.
"...Hi." Flame murmured, crossing his arms, trying to look like nothing happened. You knew damn well. They didn't seem to have a clue. Mane stood there, staring, before very awkwardly walking off to a different room.
