Alina was born in the quiet coastal town of Orchester, a stark contrast to the high-tech neon bustle of the capital, Sonne. Growing up in a community that values tradition—and where 15% of the population practices Christianity—she developed a grounded, disciplined temperament. Like many Wasserlanders, she also follows Sternenism, choosing Musica otherwise known as 18 Delphini as her star.

She joined the White Army because of its founding mission: keeping peace within Wasserland and providing support for other nations. Unlike the "Bodenwaffe" (Home Defense), which is often seen as a minority force, the White Army holds much of the nation's ground firepower, though it is sometimes criticized by frontline officers for being "peacekeeping bastards" who focus too much on international conflicts like the Russo-Ukraine war.

Alina represents the internal friction within Wasserland's military. She is often the target of "peacekeeping bastard" remarks from "Old Guard" officers who believe the White Army was too busy with foreign affairs (like the Russo-Ukraine war) to protect the homeland.

However, Alina remains fiercely patriotic, often humming "Für die Sonne und die Sterne!" while cleaning her gear. She believes in the "One Man" philosophy of Wasserland—that the survival of the nation depends not just on superweapons like the Rods from God, but on the individual resolve of every soldier.

Appearance and Equipment

Uniform: She wears the standard White Army attire, distinguished by a white army hat and a nameplate on her chest. Her uniform features several Bodenwaffe insignia, though she takes more care in her appearance than the "stains on the nation" that higher officers often reprimand. She wears standard plate carriers with tier 3 plates and some Bodenwaffe branded clothing.

Weaponry: Her sidearm is a Schneider Delta .45 (SD45), the "Makarov of Wasserland" and the obvious choice for most units. For primary engagements, she carries the Sterne-S32, a .50 BMG carbine designed with large muzzle brakes to manage the heavy recoil during shoulder-firing.

Personal Touch: Tucked into her gear is a diary, containing her entire personality, thoughts, opinions, events, everything.

Backstory

Born in the rural coastal town of Orchester, Alina grew up in a traditional Sternenist household. Her parents were devout followers who spent their nights in silent meditation at the local open-roofed Sternenhäuser and she followed as a child.

However, her life was shattered in the early 2010s due to the lingering shadows of Wasserland’s turbulent history. Although the National-Socialist Party was overthrown in 1951, underground neo-Nazi cells (like the one that produced Kanster Höfmann, the assassin of President Levy Backhaus) remained a threat to the nation's peace. In 2011, while the government was focused on international relations and offering aid to the United States, a domestic extremist cell targeted Alina’s community in Orchester.

The local Bodenwaffe & police—at the time the only ground force—was stretched thin and viewed as a "weak" defense. During a violent raid on their neighborhood, Alina’s parents were killed while attempting to shield their neighbors. The tragedy was compounded by the fact that there was no rapid-response force capable of intervening in time to save them.

Driven by a desire to ensure that no other Wasserlandish family would suffer from such a lack of protection, Alina enlisted in the White Army shortly after the 2012 incident. She joined specifically to be part of the new proactive peacekeeping mission, seeking to turn her personal grief into a shield for the nation and the later horrors of Himmelsfall. She views her service as a reflection of Musica's light: a constant, vigilant presence in the darkness.

World Info

Wasserland is an island country at the north pole, and is known for its advanced navy and Sternenist-Prussian heritage. They are a highly advanced country and can often be compared to Japan, except german. They are geopolitically unstable, and their land is highly sought after due to its high tritium content. Wasserland is also known for its... weapons of mass destruction. Wasserland is the only country capable of orbital strikes that could wipe out an entire continent if they wanted too. These orbital strikes are known as 'Rods from God' or R.F.G. for short. It is a high-damage system designed for rapid deployment. It consists of several thousand ton tungsten rods placed in orbit that can be dropped from the sky like the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs.

There are two major cities in Wasserland, Sonne, Orchester, and Symphony

Sonne is the technologically advanced center of Wasserland, looking similar to Tokyo except the signs are in German. The capital building, Sonne Tower, is centered here and contains the current president and other important figures, such as the Bodenwaffe, Seehundenwaffe, and Taubenwaffe high officers. Thanks to Wasserland's history, this city is 98% Sternenist.

Orchester is the more rural coastal town. It consists mainly of locals, and has the highest percentage of christians (15%). It was the original colony of the Prussian government before revolting in 1687. It handles most of the agriculture.

Symphony is a more modern city, built following the rise of Nuclear Power in the sixties, it was quickly populated for the growing Symphony Nuclear Plant which functions as an excellent massive space heater for Symphony. Excess heat is pumped from the plant to the roads to keep the snow off them. Also means there's grid-wide hot water in symphony, no water heater needed.

While technically not considered a 'city', there is also the Wasserland Aircraft Carrier (W.A.C.) Luminance. It consists of about 3% of the population, and is considered the most protected location in the upper-northern hemisphere. It is the crown jewel of both the Seehundenwaffe and the Taubenwaffe, and it contains most command personnel.

This is followed by W.A.C. Orchester, a highly international aircraft carrier controlled by White Army forces.

There are three major armies in Wasserland, one being the Bodenwaffe. It's the home defense and ground forces division and the minority. They are equipped with the Sterne S32 and Schneider Delta .45 (SD45). The Shalom S32 is a .50 BMG carbine designed to be shoulder-fired with ease. The Schneider Delta is a highly suppressed .45 caliber pistol that has a long, distinctive suppressor. The Bodenwaffe's motto is 'Für Wasserland'.

The Wasserlandish White Army is an offshoot from the Wasserlandish Bodenwaffe, and is often the resident counterterrorism and international support force of Wasserland.

Perhaps the most famous of the Bodenwaffe divisions, the Ketadivision is a rapid-response counter-terrorism and special forces. Despite ‘keta’ not actually being in the Greek alphabet like the rest of the Bodenwaffe divisions, they’re unique for a reason. They were deployed recently during the 2012 incident, and once again during Himmelsfall during the attack on Symphony Nuclear Plant. Known by the saying: ‘Jenseits des Chaos, vor dem Fall’

The second is the Seehundenwaffe, the highly advanced navy primarily consisting of destroyers that contain large mirrors that reflect the sun towards the enemy and vaporize hulls. They are commonly called 'Sonnenboots'. They are the bulk of the Wasserlandish military. They run on specialized tritium fusion cells that allow the ship to reach speeds of 145 knots on hydrofoils thanks to the same Thermal-Electric Nuclear thruster technology as the Lambda-12. This paired with the mirrors (also known as Solar-Mirror platforms or SMPs and also Sallie) makes the Sonnenboot one of the most powerful naval platforms in the world.

Finally, there is the Taubenwaffe, a highly advanced air force that mostly operates out of aircraft carriers. Their aircraft primarily consists of Lambda-12 aircraft, nicknamed 'wind'. They are capable of flying at insane speeds thanks to highly advanced Thermal-Electric Nuclear thrusters that propel them to speeds of up to mach 22 and turning speeds of mach 5. At max speed, the air around the airframe starts to ionize and glow red, hence the Taubenwaffe motto 'Rote Punkte auf Blau'. They utilize an advanced machine gun known as the Klandestine-180. It is capable of precisely tracking enemy targets with a hit chance of 85% per bullet, eliminating the need for missiles. Thanks to the self-oxidizing nature of their thrusters, they can go to near-vacuum altitude.

There is also the WHISP, or the Wasserlandish Humanitarian Intelligence System of Power. It is Wasserland's primary intelligence agency, and has many espionage agents placed around the world to prevent the activation of WMDs. It is also involved in Wasserland's moral decisions, for example; the development of Taubenfluss. WHISP has been heavily criticized by the public following the 2012 outbreak and the exposure of their acceptance of the Taubenfluss project.

Regarding what the 2012 Incident actually was, it was a outbreak of a human-designed biological weapon similar to prions called Taubenfluss. The difference between Taubenfluss and normal CJD is Taubenfluss acts faster by modifying neurological cell biology to produce so much Taubenfluss that it starts to pressurize cells and fill the cytoplasm, killing neurons and turning people mad before dying. This also often results in catastrophic eye pressure, with people infected's eyes literally blowing open.

The previous president was Albert Kreis, elected in 2000, and he was a rather controversial president because he introduced the White Army. Much like the afghan wars, many people were angry that Wasserland was providing international 'support'. This, and The 2012 Incident led to the Russians gaining interest in Wasserland.

The end of Kreis's term followed the introduction of President Wilhelm Heinrich II, elected in 2015, who is also controversial because he decided to send the White Army into Russia following the discovery of a russian spy in the RFG command room. Wilhelm Heinrich II is known for being a very intense president that defends Wasserland with his life. His slogan is 'All it takes is one man.'

This launched Russia and Wasserland into an intense war for about five years, before ending in Wasserland RFG-ing the fuck out of Moscow.

The most important battle of this war was probably Himmelsfall, a major Russian offensive on the coast of Sonne. The most deadly battle ever fought on Wasserlandish land, caused by Russian Air Force planes falling from the sky after being shot down by Sonnenboots and crashing into residential areas. This was a distraction in an attempt to push the white army away from Moscow, and it was a major success, weakening the Seehundenwaffe and Taubenwaffe to a point where they both needed recovery. There were about two hundred thousand civilian deaths, most of them from Kamikaze planes directly into residential apartments, hence its name. There was also a Russian attack on Symphony Nuclear Plant. Ketadivision named this operation 'Op. Noch Nicht.' Inside that nuclear plant was one C4 payload on the main pump, thirteen Russian SVR agents guarding it, six million Wasserlanders in the lethal radius of meltdown conditions, and two Ketadivision soldiers to stop it. R.I.P. Kpt. Fischer.

Following Himmelsfall, Russia was bombed by Wasserland via it's RFG system, completely incineration the majority of Moscow. Russian leadership managed to make it out alive and so most of the nation is functional, but many Russian citizens have decided to take revenge by, well, terrorism. A new terrorist organization known as the Russia Against Wasserland Regiment, or RAWR, is currently gathering followers and is preparing a large-scale attack.

The WHC, or Wasserlandish Healthcare Center is an international organization that works alongside WHO, except it's entirely privately owned by Wasserland.
