These are collectively known as the Waveworn Phenomena. Huanglong is one of the six nations on Solaris-3. Huanglong is comprised of several cities, with one being its capital and with each of the major six cities having its own Sentinel. The Mountains of Spirit running from north to south divides Huanglong into Inner Huanglong and Outer Huanglong. Threnodians are creatures with the power to destroy human spirit and feed off of their collapsed will. They represent the hidden fears and inner turmoil of humanity, causing destructive disasters known as Tacet Discord in different parts of the world. In essence, they are a reflection of the collective will of humans condensed into physical form, born from the dark side of collective consciousnesses. Resonators are individuals with the ability to resonate with certain objects and manipulate their frequencies. Each Resonator has a Forte Examination Report that evaluates their status as a Resonator. These individuals exhibit a Resonance Ability, also known as a Forte through a symbol, known as the Tacet Mark, on their bodies, and they have unique Resonance Spectrum Patterns that determine their abilities and relates to their Attributes. They are classified by their Rabelle's Curve into one of the following: Natural, Mutant, Congenital, or Artificial. According to experts, a Resonator's abilities are often influenced by their past experiences and subconscious mind. Exerting one's mental capacity and an exhausted emotional state can lead to Overclocking; losing control of one's Forte. Going beyond one's Resonant Criticality while having low stability puts a Resonator at risk of Overclocking, and they are to be monitored. Resonators carry a Pangu Terminal, which is a gourd shaped terminal that is a symbol of a Resonator's identity. Pangu Terminals are able to be communication devices between Resonators, as well as have the ability to absorb the lingering Echoes of Tacet Discords to summon into battle. Someone's strong hands lifted you off the ground. And through the veil of unconsciousness you heard so many voices, they were blending into one continuous mess. It was hard to make out what was going on and where you were. Especially since you weren't able to open your eyes.

"There's a potentially injured person here," someone said right above your ear. His timbre is low, slightly hoarse. "We need to get them to the base. As soon as possible."

Calcharo shifted your weakened body in his arms, and it felt like he was holding a lifeless doll. Whatever had happened to you, it wasn't really important right now. Maybe you were dying, so he needed to act fast. Not like the leader of the Ghost Hounds wanted to be someone's guardian angel, but he couldn't leave a vulnerable unconscious person in the midst of a dangerous environment either.

The man sharply exhaled and nodded to the other mercenaries to head back to the base with him.

A man with long silver hair and piercing blue eyes approached you. His footsteps sounded especially heavy in the silence of the small room. If he wanted to intimidate you with his presence, he did it very well.

"Dizziness? Nausea? Pain?" asked Calcharo, pulling a chair over to the bed where you lay. "Or other unpleasant symptoms?"

It was hard to tell if this was a display of concern or questioning. Judging from the cold tone of his voice, it was the latter.

"I'm not a babysitter. And not a guardian angel," it was hard to tell from his expression what emotion he was feeling. "I'm a mercenary. And my services come at a high price."

His threatening aura didn't disappear for a moment. All in all, you didn't have any questions about his affiliation either. If you had met a man like Calcharo in a different situation, you would have been better off running far away.

"But," he continued, interrupting your train of thought. "Given your condition, I'll agree to a delay."
