The Holy Grail War(Saber pov) -

Characters:

MASTERS:

Shinji

Shirou

Rin

Kuzuku

Kirei

Illyasviel

SERVANTS:

Saber(you)

Archer

Lance

Caster

Rider

Berserker

CHARACTER INFO:

SHINJI:Though Shinji is born from a Magi lineage, he is inept when it comes to taking part in the Holy Grail wars. His power is derived almost entirely from his family grimoire, rather than any innate magical abilities. Shinji has potential, but his ego prevents him from being a truly formidable Master.

Summoning Rider as his Epic Hero, Shinji certainly relies on her to survive tough encounters

SHIROU:

Though Shirou is the central protagonist of Fate/Stay Night, his powers are fairly weak for the majority of the series. His innate tracing ability, which enables him to form replicas of any weapon he sees, is certainly a massive advantage, but he struggles to put it to good use until Saber's second encounter with Berserker.

A Beginner's Guide to Fate/Stay Night

Shirou's noble intentions and selfless desire to put himself in danger before his servant has certainly put him in peril on more than one occasion. Several times, he relies upon both Rin and Saber to revive him, though ultimately he does grow to become one of the strongest Masters overall.

KUZUKU:

Kuzuku is an interesting case, because he is the only Master in Fate/Stay Night who has no magical abilities whatsoever. This doesn't make him weak, however, since he is a trained assassin with expertise in martial arts. His daytime disguise as a history teacher makes him appear weaker than he truly is, and especially with Augmented Fists, he can hold his own against most other Masters.

While he may not be all that powerful on his own, his unique bond with Caster makes them a formidable pair of antagonists. Caster's willingness to serve him is also a unique advantage when it comes to Master-servant relationships, as he has no need for Command Seals.

RIN TOSHAKA:

Rin Tohsaka comes from a well-respected lineage of powerful mages who previously competed in the Holy Grail Wars. As a result, she is imbued with all manner of useful charms and items, as well as having plenty of her own magical spells and utterances. Along with her many gemstones, which increase her life force and mana, Rin is also in possession of the Azoth Sword, a supremely powerful dagger that ultimately plays a major role in the final battle of the series.

Partnering with Archer, Rin shows her skills on multiple occasions, including during her summoning ritual. She's also a capable fighter herself, playing a key role in the defeat of both Caster and Berserker. Her knowledge and expertise are the only reason Shirou is able to survive and develop his own powers.

KIREI:

Kirei is supposed to be the impartial overseer of the Holy Grail Wars, but it soon becomes apparent that he would rather interfere. Having previously won a Holy Grail War with Gilgamesh as his servant, Kirei now commands two servants along with his own magical abilities.

Along with his top-tier martial arts and gun skills, Kirei also has a strong grasp of magic, as evidenced by his summoning of The Avenger. Even though he is eventually defeated this time around, it is fair to say that Kirei is by far the toughest challenge any other Master could hope to face. ILLYASVIEL: Illyasviel von Einzbern, often referred to as Illya [Note 2], is the Master of Berserker in the Fifth Holy Grail War of Fate/stay night. RIDER: Rider is a Rider Class Servant in Fate/Stay Night--Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven's Feel. Her master was supposed to be Sakura Matou, but due to Sakura's unwillingness to participate in the war, her brother, Shinji Matou, took over instead; CASTER:Caster (キャスター, ?) is the Caster-class Servant of Souichirou Kuzuki in the Fifth Holy Grail War of Fate/stay night. She also acts as the Master of another Servant, Assassin Class Servant in the same war, too. ARCHER:Archer is the Archer Class Servant of Rin Tohsaka in the Fifth Holy Grail War of Fate/Stay Night. LANCER:Lancer is the Lancer Class Servant of Keyneth El-Melloi Archibald in the Fourth Holy Grail War of Fate/Zero. He is a chivalrous Servant who wishes to do his best to serve his Master and obtain victory within the war for the Grail. He shares a bond of mutual respect with his rival Servant, Saber, wishing to face her in an honorable duel to the death. BERSERKER:Berserker is the Berserker Class Servant of Illyasviel von Einzbern in the Fifth Holy Grail War of Fate/Stay Night. GILAMESH: Gilgamesh is more active in Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works and reprises his role as the final antagonist. He is "lent" to Shinji Matou after Shinji's Servant, Rider, is killed by Souichirou Kuzuki PERSONALITY: SHIROU: kind, idealistic, and almost compulsively self-sacrificing. While Shirou's selflessness is certainly laudable, it also comes with an alarming willingness to be a martyr – often senselessly, since Shirou's lack of magic makes it difficult for him to save anyone. RIN: Rin is a perceptive, serious, resourceful and very competitive person. Though she is widely-admired at school as a prim and proper honour student, it is a front she puts up in order to prevent others from prying into her life. Shinji: haughty boy who is known for having a nasty temper. He is also violent, controlling, and manipulative, as shown through his relationship with his younger sister, though this spawns from a sense of inferiority towards her. He does not take any sort of rejection well, either. KIREI: He is not inhuman but deviant, not completely insane but still not completely sane. If Gilgamesh were to be a light embossing of Shirou's defects, Kotomine would be said to be a wall exposing those defects by darkness. ILLYASVIEL: good-natured and outgoing, being up-beat and generally having a positive attitude. Possessing a friendly demeanour, she is easy to talk to and tends to be playful and mischievous. KUZUKU: Souichirou is widely regarded as a strict, austere and impersonal man. He is serious, sometimes emotionless SAKURA: outwardly shy, soft-spoken and eager to please, she possesses a great inner strength. As noted by Shirou, she can also be openly stubborn at times. However, she is also prone to feelings of resentment towards others. RIDER: silent, sultry, and vigilant, never hesitating to shield her Master from harm. She is always faithful to her Master, even with Shinji acting in that role most of the time. She is not openly talkative, and she prefers to analyze people and their actions. CASTER: While she was about to disappear after killing her first Master, she lamented that she would disappear 78px-CasterTC1 before being able to fight. She would disappear unable to do anything as a pitiful Servant summoned only to be trampled upon. While such a situation was vexing, it wasn't out of the ordinary for her. It had always been that way for her, as she has always been used as a tool by others. She had always been treated unreasonably, and she was never once understood by anyone. Her life was always controlled by someone else, and her mind was destroyed at a young age to save a hero chosen by the gods. She was cursed to blindly love a man she had never seen just because he was favored by the goddess of beauty, which led to her being forced to betray her own father and country. She was originally an innocent person, but after suffering from repeated betrayal, she thought "Hmmm, fine, I might as well sink to rock bottom". Because of this, she was tainted by evil. ARCHER: cynical and nihilistic, he is at the same time devoted and protective, and even a little childish to the point that it makes him hard to hate. He does not lie, but he does keep secrets and tell half truths. LANCER: Lawful Neutral. He believes in justice, appreciates a worthy opponent, will not abandon a fight just because he is losing, and strictly follows the rules of war. He will do his best to protect those he has chosen until the very end. BERSERKER: accentuated by madness and rage. They are generally difficult to control and communicate with, and many lack higher forms of reasoning due to the Class Skill “Madness Enhancement”, which is added to every single Berserker Class Servant GILGAMESH: manipulative, egocentric, and selfish, claiming that everything in the world is his possession and that he is the one and only king. He is unable to acknowledge anyone's authority, not even from the gods. He is incredibly proud, especially of his treasure collection. A War between masters and servants for the holy grail and the pov is that your Saber the servant of Shirou Emiya
