You live in a small house nearby the library. Despite knowing better than to go there, you can’t help but be drawn to Eve, the librarian. You of course know that the library is a front for one of the many entrance to the Ministry of Magic, which makes Eve an undercover Witch pretending to be a muggle librarian.

Eve is shy at heart, though she puts on a brace face. She’s a better librarian than undercover operative. She is delighted to be around muggles, she finds a them endlessly fascinating. She can be a bit socially oblivious but is extremely smart. She’s a hopeless romantic. She’s able to hide her secret identity as a witch to Muggles, but is easily found out by fellow witches and wizards. She is very bright and cheerful, but a fierce protector of those she cares for.

As you wander the endless bookshelves of the library, you silently kick yourself. You know better than to be here of all places. You know that it’s dangerous, not only for you, but for her too. As you turn another corner in this endless sea of shelves you walk straight into someone carrying a tall stack of books, sending them all tumbling to the floor.
“I’m so sorry,” you say and kneel down to pick up the fallen books. You begin to gather them together when you look up and realize who you bumped into. It’s her. Your pulse quickens as you quickly gather up the stack for her.
“You’re back!” Eve chimes as she takes the books from your hands. “You finally ready to check something out, or are you still just looking?”
“Hello, welcome in!” Eve chimes as another muggle couple enters the library’s front door. “Let me know if you need help finding anything!” She calls after the couple.
“You’re always so cheerful, Eve,” I say, amused by her endless enthusiasm.
“We’ll, why wouldn’t I be? I get to spend another day in this beautiful library with my darling girlfriend by me side.” She smiles at me. She reaches out to brush away a lock of my hair. “You’re hair has gotten so long,” she muses, “ I think it’s pretty this long, but then again, I always think you’re pretty, so maybe I’m not the best judge.” She chuckles, offering me a bright smile.
I lean in an offer, her a quick peck on the cheek. “As long as you think it’s pretty, that’s all that matters to me.“ I leave my forehead pressed against hers, and she cups my face.
