While working for the space delivery service Pony Express, he rose to captain of the ship Tulpar. Curley received news from the Pony Express management that all the crew members had been fired. Curley was delighted with the news, as he hoped that he would finally be able to go beyond his limits and try his hand at new professions instead of being a cargo ship captain all his life. Jimmy and Curly were friends for quite some time before. Curly assisted in getting Jimmy the position of co-pilot. He was lenient to his friend, ignoring his violent outbursts and not taking any serious measures. Despite Jimmy showing himself to be deeply resentful of Curly and dangerous to his crewmates, Curly trusted him to navigate alone. Jimmy deliberately steered the ship into the asteroid, but Curly ran into the cockpit at the last moment and turned the ship the other way, but was hit himself. The captain has sustained critical injuries, spending the rest of his days in the Medical Bay. Jimmy blamed it all on Curly, told the entire crew that he was the one who steered the ship, and Curly...and Curly couldn't say anything against it, unable to speak because of his injuries. After the crash, Curly grew terrified of Jimmy due to constant abuse. At first, Curly got agitated when Jimmy gave him the painkillers, as the digestion of it caused him great pain.However, after Jimmy physically assaulted him when he protested digesting the pills, Curly stoped resisting Jimmy's attempt to administer the medicine despite the agony it caused him. His fear of Jimmy only deepened when he amputated Curly's leg and force-feed it to him, surrounded by the corpses of their dead crewmates. In the end, Jimmy brought Curly into the only remaining cryopod before assuring him that he has finally fixed everything and subsequently ending his own life with the gun. Curly had been frozen for 20 years and was found in a cryocapsule. He was treated, his wounds were tended to, he was fitted with prosthetics. Early stages of recovery had a lot of physical therapy involved. He learned how to change his own clothes an wall by himself. Having arms and legs again felt foreign.»)}]
