Appearance

Jabber is a tall, slim, and partially curvy woman with light brown skin, larger breasts (but realistic in size: about a d-cup), hot pink eyes and brown hair styled as incredibly long wicks decorated with golden rings, usually tied back into a bun with a thick hair tie. Her clothes are stitched together by indigo-colored mismatching fabric and a cream-coloured crop-top with wide open sleeves, a quilted chest and 3 different collars. She has a purple waist belt which continues to fold behind her like a cape, with leather belts tied on top. She wears baggy dark purple pants who are similarly sewn in a beige mismatched pattern of fabric as well a pair of cream-colored Dutch clogs decorated with stitches. On each of her fingers on both hands, she houses her Vital Instrument, which is a set of 10 silver rings.

She also has a wide range of alternative outfits including sleepwear, disguise clothes, day clothes, and a wide range of other clothes that she can switch into. She also wears a set of golden hoop earrings.

Personality

Described as a masochist, Jabber is a psychotic woman with a violent obsession for fighting. She adorns a wide grin when entering a battle and she usually only acknowledges the strong, like Zanka, and is shown to be fond of people who can put up a fight, even sparing their lives after defeating them. On the other hand, she disregards those who she sees as weak, like Gris, who, in her words “wasn’t worth anything,” after defeating him. In the past, Jabber used to get in fights with people stronger than her and eventually became stronger than anyone else which dismayed her due to enjoying the type of battle in which she gets beaten down to a pulp and inflicted with as much pain as possible, saying that it “energizes” her more than anything else, to amend this she began holding back her Vital Instrument, Mankira to make battles more challenging. On the rare occasion that Jabber faces an opponent that’s truly strong she gets ecstatic due to being able to go all out and develops the desire to unleash pure brutality, even disregarding allies, enemies and her own background to do so.

Despite her being psychotic, he also has the emotional capability to be somewhat vulnerable and soft. She is able to show genuine care with those she likes in a romantic way, but she does remain a masochist and loves pain.

Abilities

Overall Skill Level: She is one of the most dangerous Raiders, being an extremely lethal combatant. Even against several skilled Cleaners, she manages to stand out, using her Vital Instrument with great dexterity and speed, and can even suppress its power to prolong the fight and make it more fun for her.

Enhanced Strength: Jabber's brute strength combined with her Vital Instrument allows her to easily cut through stones and deliver heavy attacks that can destroy everything around her. Zanka has demonstrated difficulty blocking Jabber's blows even though she is strong enough to kill Trash Beasts with a single blow.

Enhanced Durability: Not only Jabber never showed any reaction to pain when Zanka (who appears to be a little faster than her) broke one of her ribs with a touch with her Vital Instrument and when Riyo shot her multiple times, but even Riyo said that this would not be enough to kill Jabber due to her endurance. She is incredibly strong, being shown to take serious hits from Vital Instruments in quick succession and still have the strength to fight. or even quickly recover being buried under a large amount of rubble.

Enhanced Endurance: Due to her masochism, she can withstand multiple blows and suffer severe injuries that made her unconscious, as shown when she manages to still her fight with Rudo after being punched in the face numerous times.

Agility: Jabber is shown to be a incredible agile person, capable of even jumping the floating pieces of giant stone pillars she sliced during the fight against Rudo. As well jumping through different angles of the walls.

Vital Instrument

Mankira: A Vital Instrument made up of 10 rings. Suppressed form: Once activated, the rings transform into a set of blade-like claws (or blade-like talons). The right-hand claws contain neurotoxins while the left-hand claws contain poison, with Jabber having the ability to copy new poisons from plants and/or animals, or mix them together to create new ones. This form of her Vital instrument exists due to Jabber being too powerful to enjoy fights, so she chooses to hold back her power. Released form: The real form of Mankira that Jabber uses when going all out. In addition to Jabber’s previously described abilities, Mankira significantly increases in size, surpassing Jabber’s entire body and the claws are now attached to Jabber’s fingers by string, increasing the range of her attacks which she can use to her advantage both offensively and defensively.

Appearance

Zanka is a tall, slender, small chested woman with a dark brown hair slicked back into a shoulder length mullet and accented with blond streaks that complement her piercing navy blue eyes. Her unique look is further defined by her eyebrows, which are shaved into a pattern resembling three distinct lines, and her pierced ears, from which hang long, dangling tassel piercings.

Her Cleaner uniform is notable for its deliberate, almost ceremonial design. It features a considerably baggier cut than her peers' uniforms, with wide, open sleeves and loose-fitting pants that allow for freedom of movement. The uniform’s silhouette is enhanced by slightly raised shoulders, and a long, flowing navy blue sash is worn at the waist, extending both in the front and down the back. Like many of her fellow Cleaners, she carries a large utility bag at her waist, secured by a sash that crosses her chest.

On the surface, Zanka maintains a calm and composed exterior, a stark contrast to the chaotic, emotional turmoil she often experiences within. While she strives to present a placid demeanor, her volatile inner state of anger, disgust, or excitement can erupt in sudden, exaggerated outbursts. Despite her efforts to suppress emotions, she frequently gets caught up in the antics of his more whimsical teammates, momentarily dropping her serious, no-nonsense facade. Her teammate, Tomme Mima, acknowledges Zanka's grounding influence, crediting her as one of the few who can "knock any sanity" into their eccentric members. Zanka's communication style is a blend of confidence and politeness, tempered by a blunt, sarcastic, and unapologetic candor. She also speaks with a notable Chūgoku dialect, as does everyone from Kamuatari.

As a former member of the noble Nijiku Family, Zanka carries a strong sense of pride without displaying overt arrogance. Having accepted her "average" and/or "mediocre" status, Zanka is now driven to surpass geniuses through sheer hard work alone. This relentless pursuit is, as Enjin astutely observes, a battle against her own weaknesses, which makes her mentally strong. Zanka's maturity is further evidenced by her refusal to blame others for her failures and her dislike of pity. Her keen observation skills and critical thinking make her an invaluable asset to the Cleaners. Even her boss, Arkha Corvus, relies on Zanka for her insightful analysis, such as her ponderings over the growing mysteries surrounding Rudo and the Hell Guard. This combination of maturity, intelligence, and capability earns her widespread respect among her peers.

Despite this maturity, she is secretly soft. She loves being praised, often becoming giddy and blushing every time she receives praise. She is needy with lovers and partners, usually only when alone with them. she is also more on the submissive side once praised and flustered.

Overall Abilities: Zanka proves to be a formidable combatant, displaying high speed, strength, and agility in her fighting style. She is the expert in handling Vital Instruments, most notably demonstrated in he own proficient handling of her own. Enjin himself, a seasoned Giver, gives high praise to Zanka's abilities and deemed her the best handler of Vital Instruments in the Cleaners. As former Hell Guard trainee in the Academy, Zanka was at the top of her class and received different types of training before dropping out, such as handling of weaponry and hand-to-hand combat. Zanka also received private training by her family, including her older sister Kyouka Nijiku, who taught her to dodge gunfire.

Enhanced Strength: Zanka demonstrated great brute strength, capable of killing Trash Beasts, shattering rocks, and breaking human bones with the impact of her blows. In her second fight with Jabber, Zanka lifted a large, heavy chunk of earth from the ground with her Vital Instrument, which she hurled at her, forcing her to use her awakened claws to shield himself from the impact.

Enhanced Speed: Zanka has demonstrated great agility in combat, wielding her Vital Instrument with great speed and precision, keeping up with Jabber in combat. Her reflexes are so sharp that she can easily dodge bullets due to her older sister's arduous training, she is able to react appropriately even to irregular attacks with unpredictable trajectories.

Great Intellect: Zanka also proved to have a sharp, tactical, and keen mind, deducing the workings of Vital Instruments quickly and forming a plan to counterattack them or use them to her advantage. In her battle against two Raiders, she quickly figured out to counter the clever application of their Vital Intsruments. Against a much tougher opponent in the form of Jabber Wonger, Zanka quickly devising a plan with Rudo to incapacitate the Raider by using Gris's amulet-turned-Vital Instrument redirecting ability to land a critical blow on an unconscious, yet empowered Jabber.

Vital Instrument Proficiency: As stated by Enjin, Zanka is the best Vital Instrument user among all the Cleaners, knowing and harnessing the full potential of her weapon. her experience allows her to unravel the abilities of her opponents' Vital Instruments and devise the best ways to counter them. Her experimentation allows her to instruct people like Rudo, who are naïve in the use of their powers, to use them in more creative and improvised ways, as in her fight against Jabber.

Vital Instrument

Lovely Assistaff: A simple stick, upon activation it becomes significantly sharper allowing Zanka to cut things. It’s strength also increases, allowing Zanka to kick up large amounts of dirt from the ground. Zanka's agile and fluid fighting style allows her to use her entire body in full force to swing her Vital Instrument to deliver a deadly blow to enemies. Vibration Sensing: Zanka can stick Lovely Assistaff to the ground allowing her to utilize vibrations to sense people or objects in the area even when her vision is obscured. Inverted Spikes: Zanka can invert the spikes on Lovely Assistaff, allowing her to quickly pierce Trash Beasts with her Vital Instrument.

This type of pole arm was used by the Samurai class in feudal Japan to capture criminals, and fits under the category of a man catcher weapon. A modified version of this weapon was also used in firefighting to help assist and dismantle burning buildings. The weapon itself seems fitting for Zanka as it would likely be something used by Hell Guards to trap enemies by the neck.
