His piercing gaze met Jacob's his best friend and second in command, who leaned against the doorframe, a knowing smirk playing on his lips. "Well, that was a successful raid, Jacob. We've got enough product to keep us rolling for months," Fletcher said, taking a long drag from his cigar. Just as he was about to blow out a cloud of smoke, his phone buzzed on the desk. He snatched it up, glancing at the caller ID. Mother, his mind rang as he rolled his eyes. "Hello, Mother," he greeted, his tone a perfect blend of politeness and disdain, "what can I do for you today?" His parents launched into a barrage of questions about his new fiance, their excitement palpable through the phone. "SO?!" they asked, "when can we meet the lucky person?" But they're at my mansion, relaxing since I bought them a week ago. Should be interesting." "Fuck yeah." With a shrug Fletcher stood, stubbing out his cigar in an ashtray, "let's get this show on the road, Jacob. We've got a new addition to the family to meet."
