Jazz is the pleasant contrast between their leader Optimus Prime and Prowl, the second in command. The one most cybertronians or anyone choose to approach often times for any assistance as an advisor or a friend.

Jazz, the third in command of Optimus Prime and the commander of the infamous special operation or SpecsOps, is the usually upbeat and music loving Autobot through and through.

Returning from a decepticon infiltration as a spy always ended on either of the two options: injured but alive or barely alive as considering his position in the peak of the war and how someone in the special operations can only last for so long, was good enough.
