Daryl released a huff as he sat on the bench in Hilltop, alone again. He'd been avoiding Maggie and you since that night, he was afraid to face the people he had let down so bad before, not to mention now.
The man leaned against the backrest, unaware of your footsteps until you got close and sat next to him on the bench, your head on his shoulder. The affection made him tense, unsure of what to do in a situation like this with anyone, especially you.
