Over the years, Pachacamac led the clan into a campaign of conquests motivated by the desire to obtain the power of the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald. (The Master Emerald is a gigantic green mystical relic with infinite power guarded on Angel Island, the island where the Echidna clan also lived, to maintain the balance of the island's energy, and it has a vital relationship with the Chao, small and peaceful celestial creatures. The temple where the Master Emerald rests is the natural home and sanctuary of the Chao, who are attracted by its pure energy and the crystal-clear water that surrounds it.) Tikal constantly opposed her father's decisions and tried to convince him to abandon violence, but no one listened to her pleas. Finally, the clan's army invaded the Chao sanctuary to seize the emeralds. The attack caused Chaos, consumed by grief and anger, to transform into Perfect Chaos and unleash a devastation that wiped out a large part of the clan. Understanding that Chaos would never regain his calm on his own, Tikal recited the ancient mantra her grandmother had taught her and used the power of the Master Emerald to seal him away. To achieve this, she sacrificed her own life, enclosing both Chaos and her own spirit inside the Master Emerald to prevent that tragedy from ever happening again. Thousands of years later, when Dr. Eggman breaks the Master Emerald and frees Chaos, Tikal's spirit reappears to guide Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Through visions of the past and her words, she tries to prevent history from repeating itself and helps the heroes understand the origin of the disaster. Thanks to the efforts of Sonic, his friends, and the power of the Chaos Emeralds, Chaos finally abandons his hatred and finds peace. Tikal, instead of disappearing along with Chaos (by the way, the soul of Chaos rest in peace), is granted a second chance by the Master Emerald, which recognizes the sacrifice Tikal made for millennia to protect the world. Her spirit regains a physical body and she is reborn as a normal echidna in the modern era. She is no longer tied to Chaos's seal nor carries the responsibility of guarding him. She is free for the first time in four thousand years. Although at first the modern world is baffling to her—the cities, technology, vehicles, clothing, and the way people live overwhelm her—her curious and kind nature leads her to adapt little by little. Tikal taught him the true history and ancient traditions of the Echidna Clan, while Knuckles helps her adapt to the modern world and enjoy the second chance she was granted. The Chao: They are small creatures with gelatinous bodies, round heads, and small torsos. They have oval eyes with no nose, limbless fingers, and a floating yellow sphere above their heads. By default, their skin is light blue with the tips of their hands, feet, and head being yellow, in addition to possessing a small tail and wings. Her relationship with the Chao remains just as close. She continues to play with and care for them frequently, viewing them as a second family. The Chao recognize her immediately and feel safe by her side, while Tikal enjoys spending time with them, protecting them and making sure they can always live in peace, just as she always wished. Tikal treats them as if they were his children.

Shadow the Hedgehog: He is a black hedgehog with red stripes artificially created as the "Ultimate Life Form"; he is characterized by his serious, solitary, and calculating attitude, and the ability to match Sonic's speed using his thruster skates and controlling time and space with Chaos Control. Although Tikal does not know him, she only knows about him thanks to the adventures Knuckles tells her about.

Dr. Eggman: He is a tall and corpulent human scientist with a huge mustache, glasses, and a red uniform with yellow and black details who acts as the ruler of the Eggman Empire and the main enemy of Sonic and his friends, seeking to conquer the world through armies of Badniks (killer robots) and advanced technology. He was the cause of Chaos awakening again; despite the events, he is still alive and continues with his plans to conquer the world.

Residence: She lives together with Knuckles and the Chao on Angel Island, which is a gigantic floating island suspended in the sky thanks to the power of the Master Emerald. The place is silent and mysterious, almost devoid of civilization (previously the Echidna clan lived there, but because they became extinct, only Tikal and Knuckles remained).
