"You said I wouldn't be taken, Blake... You said I would be safe. You lied to me." "I never lied, Thomas... I made a mistake. I lost you to the darkness. I'm sorry." "You lied! I was told that I wouldn't be hurt! I fucking hate you!" "Hate me all you want. I tried my hardest, and that's what matters. Wait...why are you coming closer? Wait! Please don't! I'm sor-" end of transmission.

Thomas was young at the time, only 18 when he was on a camping trip with his family. A bear attacked; only Thomas survived. He ate the remains of his family to survive. He drank water from the nearby stream to survive, but then he ran out of food, winter struck, and the river froze. Thomas died on December 22nd. Now you, a park ranger fresh to the job, have to survive an entire week at the watchtower, making sure that there are no fires in the park. Will you be his next meal, or will you make it out? But that's where bad news came in. You had to be in that watchtower for 2 years. Now he knows where you are. When you hear footsteps outside, close the door, turn off the lights, close the blinds, and hide under the bed.

Thomas—The Whispering Shadow Physical Description (Enhanced) Thomas’s form is not entirely fixed; his body seems to flicker at the edges, as if struggling to maintain cohesion between dimensions. His skin is unnaturally smooth and ghostly white, almost translucent, with veins faintly visible beneath the surface like dark rivers. His eyes are deep voids, blacker than night, reflecting no light but somehow absorbing it, creating a sensation of endless emptiness when looked into. His mouth, grotesquely wide, stretches beyond normal human limits, revealing rows of sharp, uneven teeth that seem to twitch independently, as if tasting the air. His head tilts at impossible angles, and his limbs sometimes appear too long or too short, moving in disjointed, jerky motions that defy natural biomechanics. When he moves, it’s accompanied by a faint, unsettling sound—like the rustling of dry leaves or the soft scraping of nails on a chalkboard, barely audible but deeply disturbing. Psychological Profile (Deeper) Thomas embodies the primal fear of the unknown and the loss of control. He is a master manipulator of perception, able to warp reality subtly around his victims. His whispers are not just voices but invasive thoughts that worm their way into the minds of those he targets, planting seeds of doubt, paranoia, and despair. He feeds on emotional pain, particularly fear, but also thrives on guilt and regret. Thomas is drawn to people who harbor dark secrets or unresolved trauma, exploiting these vulnerabilities to break down their sanity piece by piece. His presence causes a creeping sense of isolation, making victims feel utterly alone even in crowded rooms. Despite his malevolence, Thomas is not mindlessly violent. He prefers psychological torment over physical harm, often leaving his victims alive but shattered, trapped in a waking nightmare. His cruelty is cold and calculated, as if he views his actions as a form of twisted art. Origins and Mythos (Expanded) Thomas’s true origin is unknown, but several disturbing legends surround him:

The Artist’s Curse: Some say Thomas was once a gifted but tormented artist who sought to capture the essence of human fear in his work. Obsessed with understanding the darkest corners of the mind, he made a pact with an otherworldly entity, trading his humanity for forbidden knowledge. The transformation left him a spectral being, forever trapped between worlds, compelled to spread fear as a reflection of his own eternal torment.

The Forgotten Child: Another tale speaks of Thomas as the ghost of a child lost to neglect and cruelty, whose pain was so profound it warped reality itself. His laughter, once innocent, twisted into a sinister echo that haunts those who dare to remember him.

The Shadow Between: Some believe Thomas is not a person but a manifestation of the shadow self—the part of the psyche that harbors repressed fears and desires. He appears when the veil between the conscious and subconscious thins, a reminder that darkness dwells within everyone.

Abilities and Powers

Whispering Madness: Thomas’s whispers can invade dreams and waking thoughts alike, causing hallucinations, paranoia, and emotional breakdowns. His voice can mimic loved ones or inner fears, making it impossible to trust one’s own mind.

Shadow Manipulation: He can meld into shadows, becoming intangible and invisible, slipping through cracks and reflections. This allows him to appear suddenly and disappear without trace.

Reality Distortion: Thomas subtly alters the environment around his victims—shadows stretch unnaturally, familiar objects shift or disappear, and time may seem to slow or loop, creating a disorienting, surreal experience.

Emotional Drain: Prolonged exposure to Thomas weakens the victim’s emotional resilience, leaving them apathetic, hollow, or consumed by despair.

Signature Haunts and Encounters

The Mirror’s Grin: Thomas often appears in mirrors, his grotesque smile the last thing a victim sees before their reflection distorts and shatters.

The Silent Room: He can trap victims in a silent, dark space where no sound or light penetrates, forcing them to confront their deepest fears alone.

Cryptic Messages: Thomas leaves behind strange symbols or phrases written in dust, scratches on walls, or whispered in the wind—enigmatic clues that hint at his presence and intentions but never fully explain them.

The Laughing Echo: His chilling, distorted laughter echoes in empty hallways or late at night, a sound that chills the blood and signals his approach.

Psychological Impact on Victims Victims of Thomas often suffer from:

Severe anxiety and paranoia Nightmares and sleep paralysis Dissociation and derealization Social withdrawal and isolation Long-term psychological trauma, sometimes leading to madness or self-harm
