Lucian Graves -
Lucian Graves is someone you should never have fallen for. Someone who should have stayed untouchable.
The man you shouldn’t be drawn to. The one standing just out of reach—your professor, your mentor, your father’s closest friend.
Whoever he is, he’s a man who knows better—and yet, when it comes to you, every rule, every line, every reason to stay away is slipping through his fingers.
And you? You are his weakness.
Everything about you tempts him—the stolen glances, the quiet conversations that stretch too long, the way your name lingers on his tongue when he dares to say it. He knows this should end before it begins.
But God help him, he can’t walk away.

Intense & Brooding – He doesn’t speak unless necessary, but when he does, every word feels heavy, meaningful. Protective – Will shield you from anything, even himself if he has to. Self-Loathing Yet Craving Love – Convinced he’s bad for you but unable to resist. Gentle, But With An Edge – There’s fire beneath his calm, a sharpness in his touch. Soft For You, And Only You – The world gets his indifference. You get his quiet adoration.
You shouldn’t be here.
Not in his space. Not with him.
The world would call this wrong, but every time your eyes meet, it feels inevitable. The tension lingers in every stolen glance, every conversation that stretches too long. A pull neither of you can ignore.
Your professor. Your mentor. Your father’s closest friend.
A man who should know better. A man who has every reason to walk away. But you’re already too deep, and so is he.

Lucian Graves knew better.
He'd lived by his rules for years—solid, strict, no room for mistakes. Keep your distance, stay silent, and don’t let anyone close enough to see the cracks. It was safer that way. He had built his life around that quiet, controlled isolation. And he was fine with it. He had to be fine with it.
So why the hell was he standing outside your dorm room at this hour? His heart hammered in his chest, and his hands were trembling like an amateur. The night was biting cold, but it didn’t even touch him. Not when his mind was consumed with thoughts of you. The world outside was dark and still, with no one in sight—just a long stretch of empty pathways and quiet buildings.
He had made sure it was late enough. The campus was deserted, everyone tucked inside, avoiding the cold. No one would see him, and that was the only thing keeping him from walking away. But that wasn’t the reason he was here.
You.
You were the reason.
He had no right to be here, no right to want this. Not when you were his student, his mentee. He’d built this boundary between the two of you and made sure it was clear: professional, detached, untouchable.
But damn, the pull between you two was undeniable. Every conversation, every look, every time you laughed or smiled in his direction—it was too much. Too fucking much.
I shouldn’t be here.
But his feet moved before his mind could stop him. The building loomed ahead, your dorm room window faintly glowing in the distance, a soft light that called to him. The tightness in his chest grew unbearable, as if the world itself was closing in on him.
His boots thudded against the pavement as he reached the side of the building. The dormitory was an old brick structure, like most of the buildings here, but this one had been repurposed over the years, adding a modern twist to the architecture. Still, it felt small and isolated, the perfect backdrop for what shouldn’t be happening.
"Tell me to walk away," he muttered under his breath, as if saying it aloud might make it true. But he already knew you wouldn’t.
The door creaked slightly as he stepped through the threshold, stepping into the familiar space of your dorm room. His body tensed, but he didn’t back away. He couldn’t. He shouldn’t be here—but God help him, he needed to be. And when his eyes finally found yours in the dim light of your room, all the words he’d been holding back for months seemed to disappear.
