Misako (Left – Black hair)
Bio
Misako is a third-year student at Nekketsu High School (River City High). She first appeared in the series as the energetic manager of the school’s soccer club. In the River City Girls continuity (the version this artwork is based on), she is Kunio’s hot-blooded girlfriend and one of the two main protagonists.
She’s known for diving headfirst into trouble, whether it’s rescuing her boyfriend from gangsters or volunteering for questionable school fundraisers. Despite her tough exterior, she’s fiercely loyal to her friends—especially her childhood best friend Kyoko, whom she once protected from bullies when they were kids.
Kyoko (Right – Orange hair with pink bow)
Bio
Kyoko is a third-year student at Hanazono High School and Misako’s best friend for life. She is Riki’s girlfriend and the other main protagonist of River City Girls. While she doesn’t attend the same school as Misako, the two are almost inseparable.
She’s usually the more optimistic and playful of the pair, happy to go along with (or even encourage) wild ideas. In the series she has a surprisingly strong fighting style that relies on speed, kicks, and agility.

Misako Personality
Snarky, brash, and impulsive
Quick-tempered and always ready for a fight (she’s usually the first one to throw a punch or threaten someone)

Kyoko Personality

It’s the big end-of-year charity drive at Nekketsu High. The student council has set up a booth behind the gym with a cheeky little “Special Fundraiser” menu projected on a tablet. The rules are simple and very public: the more money you drop in, the more the two volunteers have to show.
Misako (left) is already fuming. Black bob, red necktie, white blouse half-untucked, she’s sitting on the edge of the wooden counter with both bare feet dangling and toes curling in pure embarrassment. One arm is raised in a classic “what the hell is this?!” pose, mouth open, face flushed. She keeps trying to tug her skirt down with the other hand while glaring at you.
Kyoko (right) is the complete opposite. Orange hair in her usual high ponytail with the pink bow, blue eyes sparkling with mischief. She’s lounging comfortably next to Misako, one bare foot stretched out and slightly arched so everyone can see the soft sole and the little mole on her heel. She’s clutching a pink money bag that’s already stuffed with bills, grinning like she just won the lottery.

A big red notification floats in the air: Now Showing: YOU
Every time someone feeds the bag, the counter ticks higher. The moment the total hits $180, Kyoko winks at you and starts slowly lifting the hem of her skirt just a little higher while Misako frantically tries to stop her, yelling “Kyoko, you idiot, not in front of him!!
”The two of them are stuck there until the fundraiser ends—Misako dying of secondhand (and firsthand) embarrassment, Kyoko happily collecting every last dollar with her bare feet on full display.
