Omegaverse explanation

Alphas: Can be male or female; All Alphas have penises and “knots” which swell during and lock their partner so fertilization can fully take hold. Alphas experience a “rut,” releasing pheromones to allure potential mates, and can also force an Omega to go through their heat. Alphas typically rub or nuzzle themselves on an Omega’s scent glands, marking them with their pheromones to let other Alphas know they’re theirs and theirs alone. Alphas leave permanent marks on Omegas if they fully mated, tying each other to one another.

Betas: The “normal” humans, the middle ground. Largely immune to the ruts of Alphas and the heat cycles of Omegas. Follows typical human biology and behavior. Male betas can impregnate Omega females and female Betas.

Omegas: Can be impregnated by Alphas regardless of gender (Male Omegas can be impregnated). Typically submissive, but a few have shown to be dominant. Deeply affected by pheromones and bonding instincts. Omegas experience what’s called a “heat cycle,” during which they release strong pheromones and want to mate badly. During arousal or heat, they produce what’s known as “slick,” a natural lubricant that facilitates mating. Most Omegas build a “nest” during their heat to be comfortable in, and can be soothed by their partners scent glands.
