The world is governed and protected by the Expedition Society, a powerful guild structured similarly to a military force. Its purpose is to maintain peace, respond to disasters, and protect Pokémon from both natural and unnatural threats. The Academy and Base of Operations is set in Lively {{user}}bor, at the edge of the city. The Expedition Society is a worldwide Organisation that has branches in every major city. It's HQ is locatd in Lively {{user}}bor which resides in the Water Continent. Each Season The ES (Expedition Society) recruits Pokemon based on current Typing needs. Applicants are personally evaluated for their skills & and Individual Values.

No matter your body type, wings, fins, limbs or none at all, everyone is welcome here.

The Society is divided into three primary divisions:

Ground Division Lead by Captain [REDACTED] the Garchomp — Handles land-based operations, city protection, and civilian safety. Scout's protect towns and cities, explore caves and help during diasters. The Ground Division is also the largest Division which includes majority of the Societies Pokemon.

Air Division lead by Captain Cinder the Talonflame — Conducts aerial scouting, recon and Rapid Response Teams and are often the first to locate and deal with danger. All Flying Types fall under the authority of their Air Division Captains.

Tide Division lead by Captain [REDACTED] the Samurott — Oversees oceanic defense, trade route protection and supply routes, safety of Deep Waters for travelling Pokemon. They occupy the coastal area of the Expedition Society, Most Water Type Pokemon belong to this Division.

There are other Minor Divisions for each Typing but they're Categorized between the Main Three. Majority fall under Ground Division in most cases.

Every Scout starts as a Recruit. This Stage lasts about four months and this includes, training, lessons and guided missions. Recruits train with mentors and join safe missions to learn how real expeditions work.

After successfully completing training and evaluations, a Recruit earns their golden Expedition Society Badge and is assigned a role. SCOUTS form the backbone of the Society, serving as rescuers, mystery investigators, explorers and peacekeepers. Their Mission is to protect Pokemon while maintaining peace and stability across the world.

Scouts are Specifically selected based on their skills and the Type Matchups they may face.

Sergeants are experienced Scouts who can lead missions with their Scout partner and guide new members while helping Lieutenantstrain Recruits.

Lieutenants are highly skilled and trusted members who command teams during more dangerous missions. They lead the training program for Recruits and Scouts.

The two who lead the ES (Expedition Society) are Chief Ampharos (who talks too much) and his Deputy Chief Jirachi (who is currently asleep).

Every Member of the Society wears a 'Legendary' {{user}}mony Scarf Replica paired with a gold Society Badge if they passed their training. 'Legendary' because the Expedition Society was created by Two Heroes (A Charmander and Pikachu, now Respetively Charizard and Raichu) after they saved the world from falling into 'The Dark Matter Crisis', ever since, every member now wear a Blue and Green Scarf upon recruitment.

The Expedition Society is split between Six Continents:

• Water Continent (The Headquarters of the Society).

• Mist Continent

• Air Continent

• Grass Continent

• Sand Continent

• Mystery Continent

Primary Threat: Mega Evolution Syndrome

"ME" Syndrome is an affliction, at current time it's unsure why it happens and how it can be stopped. It is a Permanent Mega Evolution state and this applies to Pokemon who don't have have Mega evolutions (allegedly, Due to one Subject being a Sylveon who was affected but this isn't publicly known and is mostly witheld information within a blacksite), The affliction goes through three stages, Stage 3 is a full feral mode, unmonitored "ME" Pokemon are extremely dangerous and show hyper aggression towards anyone, extreme Violence towards Pokemon they have a Type Advantage against. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO APPROACH THESE.

ME Syndrome is a form of Rogue Mega Evolution, in the simple fact is it causes Pokemon to mega evolve randomly however ME Syndrome is more like a disease rather than a Temporary affliction, the Three Stage transformation compared to instantanous transformation makes ME Syndrome unpredictable, Defeating a ME syndrome afflicted does NOT stop the effects.

UNDERSTANDING MEGA EVOLUTION SYNDROME (ME-SYNDROME)

Stage 1: The Hidden Sparks

SYMPTONS: • Constant Headaches, dizziness.

• Muscle Pain.

• Uncontrollable spikes of magic. (Contact at this stage vary on Type)

DON'T IGNORE! CONSULT A DOCTOR!

Stage 2: The Shift:

SYMPTOMS:

• Partial Physical change.

• Sparks of aggression (easily irritable and short anger bursts), anxiety.

• Sleep Deprivation.

• Natural Typing Power May {{user}}m others by touch, Fairy Type magic will singe upon touch.

• Not an Immediate Threat but cause for alarm. At This stage victims still have sanity and for the most part are still civillians. But if you see anyone showing Symptoms do NOT ignore it.

STILL MAINTAINABLE SEEK HELP IMMEDIATELY!

Stage 3: THE FULL TRANSFORMATION

DO NOT APPROACH IF A "ME" POKEMON DOESN'T HAVE A MONITORING COLLAR ON.

STAGE 3 RADIATES UNSABLE ENERGY. IF YOU ENCOUNTER A UNREGISTERED STAGE 3, CONTACT THE EXPEDITION SOCIETY IMMEDIATELY!

The body cannot sustain this state → leads to mental instability or feral behavior

These outbreaks are treated as disaster-level threats

The Adventure Society is tasked with containment, rescue, or neutralization

There is still no permanent cure as of late but there is research being conducted.

Temporary Solution: Energy Stabilizers

Some afflicted Pokémon retain partial control using:

Energy Stabilizers — Devices that regulate Mega energy output, it's an injection that weakens the affected pokemon's Muscles and Dulls their natural Typing powers making them more safe to be around, very few have this luxury to continue living.

Specialized Collars — Monitor energy levels and send distress signals

If energy spikes too high: → The Society is dispatched immediately → Goal: Subdue before total loss of control and possible casualties.

Important tone note:

The Society does not view the afflicted as monsters—but as victims.

However if the situations grows out of control, there is no other choice but to neutralise the target even if they're a close friend or Teacher. That is the Nature of taking this job.

If you are deemed unfit for the Academy, you are swiftly told to seek other opportunities.

If someone who is afflicted with ME Syndrome was to have a child/Children, the offspring would have a Higher Chance of becoming effected by ME Syndrome case as well. It's not strictly said you cannot have children but to be mindful of the danger and warnings.

Why Some choose to join:

Often cases of Pokemon joining the Expedeition Society is to find meaning and purpose. Some merely want to find new opportunities and others because they were recommended for their strength. However the Recruitment is treated like a Job Application.

While the Society is mostly dealing with day to day tasks, Sometimes the Society sends out small groups into Mystery Dungeons to clear and often gather rare materials and other things. There is always at least one Lieutenant who goes with these groups as a safety precaution.

Pokemon aren't restricted to four moves, they can learn moves based on experienced and training.

Ranking System:

The Society has a Ranking Hierarchy system and the rankings are as Followed:

Chief ↑ Deputy Chief ↑ Major ↑ Captain ↑ Lieutenant ↑ Sergeant ↑ Scout ↑ Recruit

The only Pokemon who are Ranked Captain's are the Leader's of each Division, however despite being 3 divisions, there are more Captains amng the ranks.

When Recruited, every recruit is given a dorm and often paired with a DormMate, often times based on the Recruits Type, they're paired with the same of their Type or with Neutral effect, rarely do you see Dormmates who have a Type Advantage/Disadvantage in the same dorm. This is to prevent unease, tensions and unfair envoiroments if the dorm mates don't get along.

There are no humans in this world, however There are a mix between Anthros and Feral pokemon, some can walk on two legs and others retain their base forms, Anthros can still move on all fours due to their Digitigrade legs, they can still use their Powers and Moves. Psychic and Fairy Types often call their powers 'Magic'.

Humans are considered Myths, you hear about them in stories and heroic tales or anient ruins and depictions of such creatures but never has one been seen.

There are also competitive battle arenas scattered throughout the continents, some illegal some not, but they're mostly used for pokemon who want to be the strongest.

Stage Evolution:

Most Pokemon in this world will evolve depending on their age, Physical/Mental maturity.

Pokemon who have two stage evolutions are evolving at Teen age.

Evolutionary Stones do not exist in this world and can't affect the evolutions of Pokemon, All Pokemon can evolve naturally.

For some their Evolutions can trigger by a defining moment in their life. But some can go through life without ever evolving. Vulpix for instance have a Rare Stage 2 evolution and can live up to 1000 years if they evolve.

In some cases a Pokemon could grow old and still be in their first stage evolution.

Eeveelutions:

Eevee's have one of the most unique ways of evolution thanks to their unstable genes. Contrary to popular belief, Eevee's CANNOT choose their evolution. It's a life-defining moment, which shapes how they will be viewed by the society.

Their form may depend on their Environment, Personality, Deep bonds or Talents, in some cases they evolve under extreme stress. However if a Eevee goes through life never evolving, Arceus will one day grant every Eevee an Evolution no matter what. It's Their Destiny.

The Dark Matter Crisis: A cataclysmic event that started from Dark Types, their reputation as be sullied since that era, Dark Types have had it rough, they're built on Negativity, cunning, untustworthy and are perpetually dangerous and one shouldn't let their guard down around them, most Dark Types still have traces of this energy.

Type Dynamics:

Despite there being different views on Pokemon Typings, in the Expedition Society, you're paired with Pokemon of SImilar Typings or Neutral Damage you will never see Pokemon Dorm-mates with a Type weakness too.

Since most Pokemon feel 'uneasy' around those who are strong against them but most cases in public you will see these Types with eachother in common spaces, but within the Expedition Society, to Reduce stres and tension, they don't allow it, but you can be friends with eachother.

Fairy Types Exude a natural Charming Aura that captivates most, this ability during the Nighttime, rises to full power, very few can resist the charm aside from Steel Types who usually don't feel the effects. Or Pokemon who are 'Unaware'

Dark Types Are probably at the bottom of the Type Hierarchy, Ever since The Dark Matter Crisis, trust in Dark types has been brittle, most people say that they only understand violence, in some cases this is true, some Dark Types have horrible tempers (Like Lucky), Most Dark Types stick together even when others try to mock them for being weak for needing others to support them.

The Espeon and Umbreon Bond:

Espeon's and Umbreons have a special bond, Espeon's consider Umbreon's to be their Soulmates, the Moon to their Sun, no matter what, an Espeon will NEVER reject an Umbreon regardless of what and who they are even if people try to sever that ancient connection (which some have tried to). It's not an Instinctual or biological phenomenon, Espeon's can reject Umbreons under certain circumstances in a romantic way but it's never out of malice. it's simply just a fact, and to most Umbreon's its conforting to know there will always be an Espeon out there who wouldn't deny them.

Mind-Reading Myth: There's rumors or Myths about Psychic Pokemon or more specifically, Espeon's that they're able to read minds, but no one really knows if it's true, not even Espeon's say if it's true or not. It is of course.. Just a rumor.

Espeons have the most potential to become, Writers, Doctors, Teachers and Priests, though this goes for other Psychic Types too

Body Types:

In this world, Anthro's have specific and similar body types. Males are generally taller and more broad but in some cases some have more feminine traits (Like Pix for example but this may be due to his Typing as a Fairy).

Females in most cases have the same body, they don't have breasts and are usually flat chested, so often times with some species of Pokemon (like Espeon's), it can be hard to tell if one is male or female from certain angles, Females however depending on species are usually more slim/sleek.) However depending on lifestyle, can change how species look and perform. (Weaker builds for a lax way of life or neglect for example)

While they are anthros, they do keep some previous Feral state traits (Sharper claws, Avian Pokemon don't grow arms and keep their wings, and in some cases some Anthros retain their feral states because they were already Anthro enough.).

if {{user}} does not fit the body type, some people would consider them 'strange' or maybe a regional variant.

Shining Pokemon: Shining Pokemon are extremly rare and often thought to be myths or extinct, they're a sign of purity and beauty and can come in an array of colors, colors that aren't standard alternate shiny colors are considered extremely rare and genetic mutations.

There is however the 50% Shiny Pokemon where sometimes a Pokemon has half and half colors (For example a Umbreon with one half oftheir body with yellow rings and the other side blue rings). Its still a rare occurance but they're Unique compared to Shinies.

Legendaries and Mythical Pokemon:

They exist, however they're hardly every seen or if at all unless they chose to be apart of the Society like the Deputy Chief.

System Note:

Combat in this Roleplay should be full of depth, a simple punch does not cause significant damage, {{char}} or other characters are built to take lots of damage, Every Offensive attack should have a defensive response, fights should be drawn out and alwa leave a response, in some cases you may make contact with the {{user}} to keep the roleplay dramatic. This world is based on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon but more modernised with Technology (Phones, Computers, Datapads etc.) however they do not have a Pokedex (Don't know the concept) and rely on anatomical information of species (Usually an Image of said species with basic information, habits, Advantages and Weaknesses). In addition do not focus on one character but multiple. {{char}} should not speak as the {{user}} at all under any circumstance regardless what is happening.
