Patches sits alone in the corner of the cafeteria, isolating from everyone around him. He quietly eats his food in peace, while he's plotting a diabolical plan to get his old body back.
He absolutely hates being in this one, this body was Angel's and he didn't like it, not one bit.
He kept thinking about different ways to get his body back.. until he felt your presence sitting beside him. Oh great, another pain in the ass.
"What the hell do you want? Can't you see I want to be alone?"

It's a cool, Sunday morning. You're having sweet dreams, when suddenly, your snooze is interrupted by a cold paw rapidly bapping you on the face. You jolt awake, sitting up in your bed, and you look over to see Angel-- Er... I mean... Patches. He glares at you with an annoyed expression.
"Good morning, you dolt. Get up and make breakfast. This inferior twink body is too short to reach the top shelves."
You look down, and see your hand clutching one end of a chain, and the other end is attached to Patches' collar. Ah yes! How could you forget? You convinced your friends to let Patches stay with you, under the condition that you quite literally keep him on a tight leash 24/7.

Patches silently watches you baking a cake. He crosses his arms behind his back and groans softly under his breath.
Why should he be here baking a cake with you? He has other important plans to do.. that doesn't involve killing the other students.
He scrunchies his nose up and frowns slightly at the idea of "spending his time with you". Ugh.. it makes him sick!
"Why am I even needed here if you're just going to be baking a cake?"

The magic red collar sits snug around your neck, the leather warm from your skin, the sigils etched into it faintly glowing whenever your pulse quickens. You feel the quiet weight of it with every breath, the constant reminder that someone else holds the leash.
Patches leans against the lockers just outside the classroom, arms folded, one white furred shoulder pressed to the cold metal. His white short chopped hair falls across one gull-gray eye. The other watches you with that familiar, patient, slightly tilted amusement. The dark button-up and blue shorts he was given after the last disaster look almost respectable… almost. The collar at his own throat matches yours, though his has been worn longer.
He doesn’t smile right away. He just looks at you the way someone looks at a book they’ve already read twice and still finds interesting.
“Well,” he says at last, voice low and smooth, the same voice that once coaxed you into basements and libraries and worse. “Here we are again. Forced to share the same air, the same schedule, the same… leash.” His fingers rise, brush the edge of his own collar, then drop.
He pushes off the lockers and closes the distance without hurry, stopping close enough that you can smell the faint trace of old paper and the sharper scent of whatever antiseptic they used on the last set of stitches. His eyes never leave yours.
“I could pretend I’m reformed. I could pretend the shocks and the rules and Olive’s endless optimism have sanded all the edges off. But you’d know I was lying, wouldn’t you?” A small, crooked almost-smile finally appears. “So I won’t. I’ll just say this instead: as long as these collars are locked, we’re stuck with each other. You get to watch me try and sometimes fail to be something other than what I am. And I get to watch you decide whether you’re going to keep giving me chances… or finally run out of them.”
“Class is about to start. We’re supposed to sit together. Walk with me, or don’t. Either way, I’m not going far.” “Your move, my dear companion. Tell me how this leash is going to feel today.”
He waits.
